Titanium "Bit Coin" Medallions

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas weekend. It was a great one here, quiet and uneventful. We had a two day long ice storm but no more power failures, just a winter wonderland with a thin layer of sparkly ice coating all the bushes and trees. That's all melted away and now it looks like it will be rather mild for the next few days with the next chance of snow forecast in a week or so. Our poor snow plow guy hasn't made a dime yet this year, but I'm sure January will be different.

Today I have a big batch of beautiful Titanium "Bit Coin" Medallions finished. These have a wide variety of crazy stamps on them, and they are all a little different. The patinas are super fun and give them an aged appearance that matches well with the various images. There are some with bright contrasting colors and also many with neutral C-51 anodizing as well for an interesting antique treasure coin effect. A great way to commemorate a very difficult year, and let's hope 2022 is a whole lot better!

Titanium Medallions will run $60 plus shipping and there is no limit on them. Thanks for visiting today and I hope you're enjoying some nice relaxing days this week.

All gone, thank you so much folks!

Titanium Mini Superbugs

Merry Christmas Folks!

Well it did precipitate last night a little bit and we have a light covering of the white stuff this morning. Just enough to make it slippery, but not enough to really bother getting the shovel and snow blower out. Hope the people who are traveling today aren't running into trouble.

Well, I thought I would slip one more little early sale in today. I have a couple dozen titanium Mini Superbugs left so I will offer those up today. They have a wide variety of stamps and colors as usual.

Ti Mini Superbugs run $65 plus shipping and the link is below. Thanks once again, and please stay safe this holiday season!

All gone, thanks very much everyone! Have a great holiday weekend!

Green Delrin Magnum Beads

Merry Christmas my friends! Hope you all have a great holiday coming up and are staying safe and sensible. It's a bright and sunny day here and bitter cold but the ground is bare. Looks like maybe we will get a dusting tomorrow so a white Christmas is still possible.

I'm still working on titanium Medallions, but not quite done with them. And there are still a couple of very small batches of items to get through but they will have to wait until next week.

Today I have the last big batch of green Delrin 5 Flute Magnum beads done. This is a great lightweight material and is non marking so a nice choice for electronics or bag zippers. They will run $25 each plus shipping and there is no limit on them...Thanks so much for dropping by, and have a great weekend ahead!

Sold out, thanks again my friends!

Steel PopWroaches!

Hi Folks,

Ugly day out there this morning, with rain and icy slush covering everything. The 9 inches of snow we were supposed to have the other day thankfully didn't materialize and we ended up with only about an inch, but this rain is pretty much knocking that out and making a thin covering of slush all over the yard. We'll take it for now.

I'm still going full steam ahead, so hopefully we can keep it going a few more days....today I have a few dozen CPM 154 steel PopWroaches for you. These funky little tools have a lot packed into a small package, with my captive bit system carrying a 1/4 phillips bit, offset front pry tip, rear pry/screwdriver tip, cap lifter and 5/16 wrench. A handy little design that really packs a punch. These have a rather rustic finish so expect some minor character marks on most of them...as usual they have a wide variety of stamps, and there is one left handed piece here as well.

Steel PopWroaches will run $70 plus shipping and the link is below. Thanks for coming by this morning, and hope you're about to have a great holiday week coming up!

Sold out, thank you so much everyone!

Titanium MiniBar+ Tools

We've finally arrived! The shortest day of the year is here, thank goodness. That means we finally will swing in the other direction and the dreary and short winter days will turn around. I'm a light loving person, so these dark days never agree with me and the only solution is to bury myself in work and try to ignore it. But, I'm always heartened to see us on the side of lengthening daylight. :)

I'm still dabbling with several small projects and some odds and ends. We'll see how far I get this year, but there's still a little more to come.

Today I have a couple dozen Titanium MiniBar+ tools finished. These handy little guys feature a variety of prybar and screwdriver functions, a cap lifter and 7/16 wrench opening. As usual, they have all sorts of different stamps and contrast anodizing. There are a couple of plain ones, and I think one lefty as well...if anyone wants to email me, I think there are a small handful of bead blasted steel ones remaining too.

Titanium MiniBar+ tools are $65 each plus shipping. I am always very grateful that you have stopped by today, and I really hope folks can stay safe out there this holiday season!

Sold out, thank you so much!

Zirconium Mini Superbugs

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday! I hope you are gearing up for a nice holiday week. It's bright and sunny here this morning, but very cold. We woke up to a power outage due to a downed tree limb nearby, but all is restored now. Not a fun time of the year to lose your power so let's hope that is the only one this winter...

I'm still working on a few more items for the year. Hopefully will get to one or two more this week. Ti Medallion are coming out beautiful and will be done shortly.

Today I have a few stray Zr Mini Superbugs done. Similar to the original Bedbug design, these make for a great little 1/4 inch bit caddy/driver for your keyring and also feature a cap lifter. They feature a wide variety of stamps of course.

Zr Mini Superbug tools will $65 plus shipping and there is no limit on them. Thanks for dropping in today, as always, and please stay safe out there!

All gone, thanks so much folks, very much appreciated!

Stainless Steel 5 Flute Mega Lanslides

Hi Everyone,

I know, it's amazing, I'm back again already! What are the odds,,,hehe...

It's turning quite chilly out there today and a sizable storm is on the horizon. They keep changing the weather predictions, but now are saying that we are due for around 9 inches of snow tomorrow. So, this is a good time to sneak in one last sale for the week and then make a last run to the grocery store to stock up for the snowy weekend.

Today I have a few dozen stainless steel 5 Flute Mega beads that I had completely forgotten about. This is the end of the Mega sized beads from the older stock, but I will hopefully be exploring some new bead designs next year. We'll see how it goes...at any rate, these are a great size and shape, perfect for tying onto a knife or flashlight lanyard. Or use as a zipper pull on a bag or jacket.

Stainless Steel Five Flute Mega beads will run $30 each plus shipping and the link is below. A portion of this sale goes to my local county food bank today...Hope you all have a great weekend coming up!

Sold out, thank you everyone!

Titanium RingBabies with AfterGrinds!

Hi Folks,

Happy Thursday! It's quite warm out this morning, and everything is soaking from the heavy rains that we had overnight. The forecast says we are due for about 7 inches of snow on Saturday, and that will be followed by much cooler weather next week. So it is safe to say that a White Christmas is probably in the cards this year. :)

Well the Atwood Train rolls on this week! Today I have a small batch of Titanium Ringbabies. These are all stamped and anodized, but I have done something new...I added grinds after they were totally completed, so that the bare metal flashes through the color finishes. This is a super cool effect and one that I have experimented with before on one or two pieces in the past, but never applied to a whole batch of tools until now. I really like it and will definitely keep it in mind for some future runs as well.

There are the usual wide range of stamps on these. Almost all are anodized, and honestly the AfterGrind effect shows up the best against color anodizing...there are about a half dozen lefties here as well.

Ti Ringbabies with AfterGrinds run $70 and the link is below. Thank you so much as always for your continued patronage and great kindnesses in these crazy times! Stay safe out there...also, a portion of this sale today will be going to our local foodbank.

Wow, gone in a flash, thank you so much folks! :)

Stamped Bermuda Triangles

Hi Folks,

So the projects continue to roll right along...I have some smaller items such as delrin beads coming up, as well as ti Ringbabies with special grinds.

These are a few dozen Titanium Bermuda Triangles from years ago that I had lying around. I decided this summer to add some stamps and then do a little anodizing. I have mixed and matched the stamps and most of these cute little fiddle toys have contrast anodizing. If you have strong feelings on the Hexi vs Deckle style edges just drop me a line, otherwise I will simply send you one or the other as these are mixed up half and half for edge styles. There are a couple of plain stamped ones without color as well...

Anodized Bermuda Triangles will run $60 and the link is below. Thanks as always for dropping by and have a great week!

 Sold out, thanks again folks!

Alien Guitar Picks!

Hi Folks,

Happy Tuesday! It's a sunny one out there today and temps will remain mild for a couple more days it looks like. I will take advantage of it and do a couple of quick last minute clean up things in the shop before hunkering down for the icy snow cover months. At least I haven't had to run my heat as much lately so I'm ahead of last year in that regard.

Well today I have something really fun for you. Titanium Alien Guitar Picks! These are really cool little items that I made a couple years back. I didn't make too many of them and I still had a couple more designs in the hopper that I never finished. So I thought I would do one more small batch of the coolest drawing, the Alien. BTW, this batch of picks are the exact size and shape as a normal standard pick.

I went back and forth on how I wanted to finish these. They are thin, so anytime you mechanically stamp a metal object this thin the stamp telegraphs through to the other side and will distort the flatness of the object. So, after much thought I decided to follow the tradition of the master Japanese potters and leave these unsigned and sterile, so they are the work of what is known in Japan as "the unknown craftsman". The idea is that there is no need to sign your name on every object. Leave the ego out of it and let the pure design and execution of the work speak for itself. Future generations will appreciate the work for what it is rather than adulate the maker. I think sometimes that is a nice idea and the concept works well for something like this. So there are no stamps or marks of any kind on these.

Anyway, philosophy aside, these cute little picks were tumbled over and over again for several weeks to achieve a buttery, aged finish with a nice radius on the edges. I have given them a wide variety of anodized colors. Lots of Alien Greens, as well as the usual solid colors, some nice color fades and a few neutral C-51 pieces for the folks who like more of a plain look, but the anodizing still gives an additional layer of protection to the titanium.

Alien Guitar Picks will run $35 each plus shipping and there is no limit on them. Hope your week is going great and stay safe out there!

All gone, thank you so much everyone!

Stamped Bronze Magnum Five Flutes

Hi Everyone,

We had a brief dusting of snow the other day but it is gone now, and it's very mild this week. I will take it for now, but I'm sure we will be seeing some real snow pretty soon.

I'm winding down the projects for the year and trying to figure out which ones to push into 2021. Looks like Mini Wedgies will have to wait until early January. In the meantime, I have a couple of smaller batches of items that didn't get finished in the first waves this year. So, there will be some smaller sales this week. The mail seems to be moving at a far better pace than last year and so far most things seem to be getting to their destinations in a reasonable amount of time given the holiday package volumes.

Today I have a few dozen Bronze Magnum 5 Flute beads. These are all stamped and have a beautiful deep dark patina. They will run $45 each and the link is below. Thanks for coming by today, and stay safe out there this holiday season!

Gone in a flash, thank you guys!

A Few More Titanium Mini Prybabies!

Hi Folks,

Well it's bright and sunny here today after several days of gray and dim light that are so typical of this time of year. But the brightness comes with a cost, as the temps are quite chilly and I doubt we will get out of the 30's F for the next few days. At least the ground is still bare for now.

I'm still steadily working my way through several batches of items and will be trying to keep rolling right up to the end of the year. We shall see how far I get and I don't want to make any rash promises...

So today I have a big batch of Titanium Mini Prybabies done. These are just beautiful! I changed up this group a little bit and gave them a 7/16" body opening, and also made them another 1/4" longer in length than the earlier steel versions. The resulting form factor is just right for a tool this size and they feel great in the hand.

I gave these a wide variety of stamps as usual, although given the limited real estate, the stamps are a bit more limited and are tending on the smaller side. Lots of fun themes though and plenty of UFOs, skulls, etc. Most of them have contrasting anodizing and I gave these extra polishing tumbles, so the colors are especially vivid. And, for those folks who prefer vanilla, there are a handful completely without anodizing, also a few without stamps as well. Just email me...And there are some lefties in this batch too!

Titanium Mini Prybabies will run $70 plus shipping.. No limit on them. Thanks for dropping by today and I hope your week is going great!

Sold out, thank you so much!

Zirconium QuickDraws

Hi Everyone,

I hope your holiday season is underway and going great! I'm scrambling (!) to finish some projects here, and almost ready with fancy ti Prybabies and some other goodies. I will be trying to have several more sales over the next week...

OK, so today I have the remaining Zr QuickDraws done. I have given these an extra long tumbling and a series of small batch polishing tumbles to brighten them up and give them a lustrous final finish rather than the matte finish of the earlier run. I will use the same pics below, but this group today is a bit shinier. They have my usual wide variety of stamps, and there is no limit on them...they run $70 plus shipping and the link is below. Thanks for dropping by and stay safe out there!

Sold out, thank you so much everyone!

Steel Mini Prybabies: Showcase Edition

Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all getting ready for the holidays! It's getting gray, wet and raw out there this week...so typical of this time of year. Still no sign of any white stuff in the forecast, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I've been working steadily this past week to finish projects. Coming up next will be the last round of zirconium QuickDraws. I have a few small odds and ends type of sales to get to as well. Titanium Mini Prybabies are all milled and I just need to do some finish grinding and stamping and then those can be finished up. Figure early December for those... I am still trying to get through the Mini Wedgies and get them to heat treat soon. And I'm still hoping to finish at least some of the titanium Medallions. We'll see what happens but I will get as much done this year as I can.

Today I have the other half of the steel Mini Prybaby project. These are also S30v steel with old school milled V notch. On this group I have added a deep milled circle feature to showcase stamps, and of course there is a wide variety of them here as always. I also have a few lefties if anyone wants to email me for those.

Showcase Edition Mini Prybabies will run $70 each plus shipping and there is no limit on them. The link is below...thanks for dropping in and hope you all are staying safe and sensible this holiday season!

Sold out, thank you!

Zirconium R25 Rulers!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're having a nice fall. It has been a little warmer than usual here in New England for the past two months, but we finally got a frost last week and that put an end to most of the gardens. I've been busy with fall cleanup and putting things away for the long cold winter, which is surely on the way, despite our recent reprieve.

I've had to raise postage slightly as the PO made a rate increase recently. Also, Australia is currently out of play unfortunately. Apparently they haven't been flying many planes into Australia because of the pandemic so first class mail is suspended right now, hopefully just a temporary thing. I'm waiting to hear if they will resume it soon now that they have lifted some lockdown restrictions, but I just don't know at this time. So, very sorry to my Australian friends, but the only shipping available is Express Mail which is dreadfully expensive.

Things have been steadily moving along in the shop. It has taken some time to get through these current batches, but I'm happy to report that steel Mini Prybabies with a deep milled body feature are at heat treat right now, so those will be coming back in 1-2 weeks. A big batch of Titanium Mini Prybabies are almost done with the milling and will be headed for the finish line in early December. And I'm in the middle of grinding steel Mini Wedgies, so those will be done before the holidays as well hopefully. Those are the main batches that I'm focused on right now, but I have a few other smaller batches that I will try to finish up as well. And I did just get more sheaths for BabySharks, so will have more of those done too very soon.

In other news, I recently had some super cool custom stamps made to my own design drawings. I have several brand new UFO and alien stamps, so look for those starting with the tools today. :)

Today I have a big batch of R25 Ruler tools done. These are made of zirconium and feature a light duty pry tip, 2 inch ruler scale on the front side, 50mm scale on the back side, 5/16 wrench/cap lifter and a 7/16 wrench which doubles as the lanyard opening. A great little tool with a lot of function in a tiny package.

The R25s have a bright stonewashed finish, and have been torch blackened and oiled. And of course, they feature a wide ranging variety of my decorative stamps. There are a couple of plain non stamped ones as well if any vanilla lovers out there want to drop me a line...No lefties however, all the same design configuration for this group.

The Zr R25s Rulers will run $65 plus shipping and there is no limit on them. Thanks as always for your great patience, and for dropping by today.

These are gone for now, thank you so much folks!

P20 Mini Prybabies

Hi Everyone,

Well it has cooled down finally with the arrival of Fall. The transition has been rather sudden, and the trees have clearly not gotten the message yet as they are still mostly a sad and forlorn green. Usually the peak of foliage season in New England is in about a week but I have seen very few colors yet and I don't know what is in store this year given the unusual prolonged warmth and record rainfall amounts. We shall see...

I've been catching up on all sorts of projects, and some even involve the shop, hehe...fancy Zr QuickDraws with decorations are getting close to the finish line, and those should be coming in a couple of weeks. I'm still working through the BabySharks and have more sheaths coming soon. Zr R25 ruler tools are being milled right now and will be coming along in a few weeks. Mini Wedgies are now milled and just need grinding before sending to heat treat. S30v Mini Prybabies with milled feature are on the bench now and I have started grinding them. Titanium Medallions are on the bench awaiting stamping.

Today I have the first wave of S30v Mini Prybabies done. This is the 20 year anniversary of the first Prybaby release and if I had known then that I would still be making them today I would have been amazed...at any rate, this design pays homage to those first simple tools, although I have made some subtle updates. I had a sheet of 5/32" thick S30v steel lying around so I decided to use it up for this run. These little cuties are just 2.5 inches long and feature the original style milled V notch. I made the lanyard opening into a 1/4 hex so it serves double duty and I also gave these tools the original style rear pry tip. They are chunky, robust and very useful. A second group with an added milled design is coming soon as mentioned above.

The P20 Minis are all stamped with a wide variety of my decorative stamps. There are a few lefties if folks want to email me for them. Please note, this steel will have various minor marks, visible grind line remnants and other little surface irregularities. It's next to impossible to get them all out so please expect some character marks on them. The final finish is stonewashed for maximum wearability although I do have a couple of bead blasted ones here too.

P20 Mini Prybabies will run $65 each plus shipping. This is a small batch so it will be one per customer please....the link is below. Thank you for dropping by and I hope you're having a great week!

These are gone for now, thank you everyone!

BabySharks!

Hi Everyone,

Well, we're in the waning days of summer up here in the Northeast. The days are getting a lot shorter lately, and it's finally cooling down a bit after what seemed like an endless procession of hot days. Indeed, it was the hottest summer on average that we have ever had, and must have been one of the wettest as well. I lost a lot of veggies this year due to rot as the rains simply would not quit. We had about 30 inches total in July and August which is a crazy amount. And we're on track for a a very wet September too.

So, the projects are slowly moving along. I sent a batch of Mini Prybabies to heat treat last week and they should be done about a week from now. A second batch of Prybabies with additional milled feature is next up on the bench and will be sent out probably next week. Also, Mini Wedgies have been milled and now just need some grinding and stamps and then they will go out for heat treat as well. Zr R25 ruler tools are getting milled right now, and Zr QuickDraws will follow those.

Sheaths have been slow to finish on the long awaited BabySharks, but I finally have enough done to put up a sale for some of them! This is the first wave and is only about a 1/4 of the entire batch. More will be coming through the month of September as I receive them. I am hoping to get through them all by mid October, so fear not, many more of these BabySharks are on the way. These first two waves are all just stamped, but some slightly different ones will come in the final group and those will have some further embellishments.

BabySharks are my latest take on ultra compact fixed utility blades. These cute little guys are made of CPM 154 steel with a forward canted 1.25 inch cutting edge. They have a tumbled stonewash finish. I gave them a Tiny Tim style rear utility feature for the handle, and so we have a 5/16 wrench, a small prytip and a cap lifter built in. A 1/4 hex in the center provides a handy grip control point as well as a sheath detent area for secure carry. The top thumb grip area and deep forefinger cutout provide further control and a secure holding position. The ergonomics are very nice on these and the fiddle factor is excellent.

I don't recommend you try to use any of the tool features unless the blade is securely held in the sheath, but these minimalist sheaths have a nice fit and the ensemble makes for a very handy package to have in your pocket or on a key ring. I wasn't really thinking neck knife when I made this stripped down sheath design, but of course you could easily put a small split ring on them and run some bead chain through if you want to carry them that way.

The BabySharks are stamped with a wide variety of my antique and modern stamped images. There are a handful of lefties here as well if anyone wants to email me for those.

Stamped BabySharks will run $150 plus shipping, and due to the very limited quantities these are going to be one per customer please. Thanks for your great patience this summer and hope you all are enjoying the warm weather while it lasts...stay safe out there!

Wow, gone in a flash!! Thank you so much everyone!

Summer Updates

Hey Everyone!

Yup, I'm still here. In the middle of building that ark though, since the rain just will not stop this summer. We had something like 15 inches last month and it just keeps on coming. My tomatoes have very little flavor this year from lack of sun and too much water, but my sweet peppers are doing great. Outside the woods is steaming like a jungle and swarming with mosquitoes. I think I am down a quart after working in the garden for just five minutes yesterday!

I've been crazy busy these past few weeks with family activities, some small home improvement projects and working in the shop. It's been a tremendously productive summer on the one hand, but on the other hand I can't seem to get any projects to completion. That will be changing soon though...I finally found a sheath maker for my blade projects and they are busy working on them right now. So, in a week or two I should have the first batch in hand and can actually put some sales up. I'm in the middle of sharpening BabySharks right now.

In other news, a second blade project, the PieceMaker, just went to heat treat so those will be coming later this fall. Those have been sitting around for a couple of years, so it's good to finally be getting to them.

After some debate I decided to add an old school V notch to the Mini Prybaby project, so those are once again delayed for a few more weeks to get that milled...steel Mini Wedgies have been cut and all prepped out for milling. I just got done sanding and tumbling out the Zr R25 ruler tools and they are now finally ready for milling. Zr QuickDraws are also ready to be milled. And I have a heavy duty new chainsaw tool which has just been cut and I'm about to start on prepping those out. Ti Medallions are all ready for stamping and finishing, just have to sit down and get to work on them. Ti KingPins are waiting for me to grind the pins and anodize...

So, tons of stuff is in progress, just infuriatingly slow to get any of it to the finish line. Anyway, hope your summer is going great and you're staying safe and healthy!

Stamped Titanium Ringbabies

Hey Everyone,

Well the summer is already flying along, can't believe it's the middle of July already. After a long dry spell this spring we've had a ton of rain here lately and even more is on the way apparently. I just wish we could send some of this excess moisture back out west where they so desperately need it. My garden is certainly loving it though, as are the mosquitoes...

Projects have been moving along. I'm slowly making my way through the steel Mini Prybabies and will be trying to get them out for hardening in a couple of weeks after the summer shut down of heat treat. The Zr R25 tools are well underway and they should be all prepped out and ready for milling by next week. Same with the second small run of Zr QuickDraws. I just completed two drawings and will be cutting a new Mini Wedgie design this fall, along with another brand new tool. And the cute little Baby Sharks are nearly finished...just need to do the sharpening and figure out sheaths. Oh, did I say...sharpening and sheaths? Hehe.... ;)

So today I have the second wave of titanium Ringbabies done. These came out great, with lots of different stamps, both old and new, and some awesome contrast anodizing effects. For ano lovers there are some terrific bright colors here, and also some unusual combos such as neutral C-51 with purple, some interesting copper and salmon tones and even a couple with super high voltage Honeydew Melon/ Blush type effects. I do have a half dozen lefties if anyone wants to email me for them, and there are also a half dozen stamped ones without anodizing for those who are allergic to colors. :)

Titanium Ringbabies will run $65 plus shipping and there is no limit on them. Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you're making the most of this wonderful window of summer and being careful to stay healthy and safe!

All gone, thank you so much!

Zirconium Mini Superbugs

Hi Everyone,

Happy Summer! Man, it has arrived with a vengeance too...stepping outside to water my garden this morning was like walking into a sauna. We keep going from very hot spells to very cool temps so it's going to be a long hot crazy summer ahead I think.

I've been quite busy working on projects these past couple of weeks. I just finished stamping and anodizing ti Ringbabies and those will be coming up next. I finally got a small batch of white delrin beads done. A big load of the upcoming BabyShark tools just went out to heat treat yesterday and I began the grinding on steel Mini Prybabies finally as well. I also did some preparation on the Zr R25 rulers and some more Zr QuickDraws but those will be awhile away...so lots of goodies are already on the menu for this summer.

Today I have Zirconium Mini Superbugs done. These are all stamped and then torch colored in the traditional blackened style finish. A great little minimalist tool that makes it easy to carry a standard 1/4 bit anywhere at all times.

Zirconium Mini Superbugs will run $65 plus shipping and there is no limit on them. Thanks for dropping by this week and hope you're staying cool and have a great holiday weekend planned ahead!

All gone, thanks so much everyone!

Bronze Medallions

Hi Everyone,

Happy summer! I know it isn't quite summer yet, but man it has been a scorching week here. We've had some crazy back and forth temperatures ranging from freezing cold, and then directly to burning hot weather this spring. My tomatoes did not appreciate it, that is for sure, although my gardens recovered nicely. Supposedly we're now due for some moderate days in the 70's and that sure would be nice to see.

Sorry for my long radio silence these past couple of weeks. I've been working steadily on projects but for one reason or another haven't gotten any to the finish line....the good news is that I have gotten a ton of stuff done so lots of tools are now on the verge of completion. Zr Mini Superbugs are almost ready, just waiting on the o-rings so I can start packing them up. I am almost done stamping ti Ringbabies and then then they can get anodized and finished up. Titanium Medallion coins are now ready to stamp and then they can get anodized. Steel Mini Prybabies are still on the bench but are next up for grinding, as are the remaining steel BabySharks. Will be lots to send out to heat treat in a week or two...Steel Wheelman tools are in limbo since I discovered the other half of the batch, so might wait to send those to heat treat until later in the summer. And there are several other things in progress too, as always.

Today I have the Bronze Medallion coins done. I collected coins as a kid, so between all my youthful coin collecting and my adult appreciation of ancient artifacts, I wanted to create something fun that was a hybrid of those interests. I had a sheet of bronze lying around so I decided to turn it into lucky pocket pieces...About the size of a silver dollar, these remind me a little of the old Chinese coins with the square holes in the center crossed with some of the gold pieces and large pennies of the 1800's. Maybe with a dash of Space Pirates thrown in for good measure. Yeah, I went there, Space Pirates and their Pieces of Six! :)

I had a lot of fun stamping these guys up with my ever expanding collection of metal stamps. I have some very cool new ones although they vary in the materials that they can be used on. Some are best in the softer metals so these bronze coins were a perfect palette. I'm really digging the new Bigfoots, flying saucers, little elephant, mushroom, nautical star and literally dozens of others. There are also a few bawdy and irreverent images such as the middle finger and even boobs for a "lucky night" theme coin, haha...I was cracking myself up more than once in recent days and no two Medallions are quite alike in the stamping combinations.

These bronze coins have a heavy distressed and antique finish on them. I gave them multiple chemical baths and tumblings to achieve a range of deep patinas and it gives many of them a look of something that was dug up last week after centuries of lying in the ground. They are all dated 2021 though so I guess that gives their true age away.

Bronze Medallions will run $55 each plus shipping and the link is below, no limit on them. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope everyone is doing great this spring and that life is beginning to return to normal!
