Poltergeist

Hi Folks,

Well, I have some of the new Poltergeists done today. Here is the writeup:

The Poltergeist is made of hefty 5/32" thick S35v steel with a smooth stonewashed finish, OAL is 3 inches. Features include a sturdy pry tip/screwdriver, bottle opener which doubles as a 5/16 wrench, 1/4 hex opening and 1/2" wrench. The big brother to the Ghost is simple, sturdy and tough enough to last practically forever.

International Customers: One will ship via Priority Mail, more than one and they will go via Express Mail, thanks!

First Wave is gone but more to go tomorrow. Thank you!

Very cool. This is a great start to the weekend. Peter, are there going to be Poltergeists in different metals? The S35V is also a pleasant surprise.

What is the overall length of the tool?

Eman, if you read this post, the OAL is 3 inches.

Peter, Nice work on the 'geist. Any plans to anodize or play with the finish?

Looking forward to the trickle of tools.

Paypal wasnt working for me -Sigh-
I always got:
"Sorry — your last action could not be completed"

Too bad it was down for me right now. Bummer!

Hey Peter. The Paypal site was messed up and left me hanging for 15 minutes trying to buy 2 of these. I got in before the lock though. It wouldn't go directly to my personal paypal account. It made me enter info from scratch, and by the time I finally got it done...they were gone!!!

Any chance you can still hook a brother up?

Thanks
Nick

Yeah, Paypal is dead right now and I can't even get into my own account. I had to stop the sale unfortunately.

Hope it straightens up for you Peter! Seems to be OK for me, just tried it and I got through all right! Gary :)

I like the looks of these, a little bigger than the Ghost.

Yay ! Managed to nab one of these, I'm really happy.
My first Atwood tool !
I really love the design, a "raw metal" finish would be cool as well.

Peter, are we going to see more stuff made from this S35V steel? Is it better than S30V? Gary :)

Peter Atwood said...

The S35V has a tiny amount of niobium I believe it is...for greater toughness. It has some other advantages that I can't recall off the top of my head but it's an all around improved S30v basically.

n00b to your site - met a guy @a party last nite, that had one of your tools. I like. Will this poltergeist batch be for sale soon?
I'd like one (or two)...

Hey Tony read How to buy an Atwood tool under links! Gary

Unknown said...

Thanks Gary - done that. Guess the link only appears for a short time, and it'd seem the Atwood product has a devoted following.
*sigh*
I can understand why! Just lookin' for a pocket tool similar to this one to add to the weight already totin' around in my pockets 8^D
Cheers,
Tony D
