Triangle Plus

Here's a neat little addition to the lineup, the Triangle Plus. These are exactly the same size as a Bermuda Triangle but have the benefit of hex bit storage, something not possible with the original design. I've beefed up the bottle opener opening to 5/16" so it works a little better too. This tool lacks the big center hex hole obviously but it still makes a fun little spin toy on the end of a pen or pencil. Alternatively, the lanyard can be tied through the center hole if desired which is how I've been carrying mine lately.

I just finished a small batch of these in 1/8" thick titanium and will be posting them tomorrow. Most are stonewashed and a few will be bead blasted and anodized solid colors. No Tropicals this time around. Also, a huge batch of Bermuda Triangles will be coming in about two weeks so many more of the originals will be available soon.

Hey Peter,

You're killin me! (financially) This is another cool tool that I am going to have to buy. It's a good thing the feds are giving us some of our money back! I may as well dedicate all of it back to you...

Tomorrow will be another day spent in front of my iphone and laptop waiting to pull the trigger and drop some more funds...

OMG! That came right out of left field! Never expected that one....totally cool!

Only one explanation seems viable to your designs- Alien Techonology. Aha! I knew it since you were making references to UFOs and Area 51 and what not. Peter, you are either from Alpha Centauri or used to work somewhere in Nevada. Expect a group of MIBs ringing your doorbell some time soon. This is a serious breach of national security..

In other words, superb work again! :D

hey Peter how about instead of just a plain ol hole in the middle...some kind of indented area with the small hole in the middle...
indented so that you could use it for some kinda leverage to twist certain things while keeping the center lanyard hole

I second that. And I'd suggest a hex hole instead. The triangle shape would make a good handle to turn a hex bit stuck in the center. But you'd need a way to put an O-ring close to the center for bit retention...

A 1/4 hex hole in the center would be very useful. With a chapman-style bit in a center hex hole (chapman bits don't need o-ring retainers, they have ball detents to keep them in place), this could be a mini nut spinner!

I was thinking of the indent in the middle...not to use the bits...thats what the specific bit holes were made for, but instead a hole/slot that doesn't go all the way thru. So that you could use the triangle as some form of Palm based leverage...inside this "indent" you could add that small tiny hole for lanyards or whatnot

I think an indent is a lot more difficult to mill than a hole is to cut. Would likely add significantly to the price/time to make.

Hey Peter when you mention many more of the "originals" you mean Prybabies and MSOPs right?...right?? ((whistle))

Genius!

All these triangle tools remind me of my cousin's anime shows, for some reason.

Peter's a tool ninja!

I'm really amused by that notion for some reason.

Love how much you innovate and let your tools evolve. I'd really love to see some of these in the original design but with one corner cut/ground into a phillips screwdriver head shape and one corner ground into a flathead or prybar shape. I love how lightweight and 'fiddleable' the tool seems. Still, I seem to always need screwdrivers and openers more often than anything else. The captive bit tools are really clever and versatile but I love how 'quickdraw' and rugged the simple tools are.

Triangle+ seems to me to be a "must" like Termite or Sharkbite, perfect for every day carry:1/8" thick titanium, hex bit storage, bottle opener and finally stonewashed.

this might be the most bad azz thing yet!

I think it's an excellent design. I'm sure you thought of it but, how about flattening one of the points to form a standard screwdriver tip? Just a thought...
