Brass Whistles

Hi Folks,

OK, I got some brass whistles done finally. This is only the first wave. I'll have a few more available this weekend and then a lot more in about two weeks. These are slightly slimmer than the earlier whistles in order to lighten them up a little bit because they were quite heavy before. They are now basically the same diameter as the original whistles from years ago and more reasonable in weight. Thanks again for stopping by and the link is below:

Sold Out!

Looks like I better make more brass whistles. :D

Waited all day, what can I say.
My patience and determination really did pay.

Guess I have to start trying to figure out what rhymes with "larva".

Stayed vigilant all day, and STILL missed it! Wouldn't hurt so much, 'cept I work nights and miss most if not ALL general sales. What hurts more is that I'll see some in a few weeks on eBay for twice the price :-)

Those turned out nice. Is one enough?

Missed it!

Ya know, I would love to have one of each, but if I were to pick one, it would be the brass one.
"Reaching for the Brass ring" as it had been said.
I'm Jazzed!
Thanks for turning them out, Peter!

Did I say a few weeks? there is already a rainbow up for auction on ePay. Y'know? I have better things to do than sit here with my finger on the reload button, only to lose out to someone who only wants to make a few bucks off of something he should treasure and use. The only general sales I have been able to catch were for the beads, and I have kept and used every one I've bought. guess I should work days. Later...

Ouch! Missed :(

I hope I will be able to intercept the next wave of brass ones :/

Can you open bottles with that notch in the side?

No!

Managed to score one of the Brass ones last night. Peter, how durable are the inserts in the whistle?? I'd like to carry one of these clipped to my vest while I'm in my kayak, so I'm curious if extended exposure to water will cause the insert to come out of the whistle?

Peter Atwood said...

They are made to last forever and water will not affect the insert.

Did I just hear you say....WARRANTY??LOL

Peter Atwood said...

Of course! :)

Hey Peter, no that's an idea. Maybe design the whistle outlet so that it can have a dual purpose to open bottles! Hehe

Peter,

What kind of brass did you use for these?

Peter Atwood said...

I'm not sure of the exact grade and will have to find that out tomorrow when people are in.

if these had a bottle opener, then I'd have NO CHOICE but to buy one! haha

Nice work on all of these Peter!

I have to say I think a whistle should just be left as a whistle :)

leave the opening to the other multi tools ;)

ohhhhh I know....just that a lightbulb went off when Michael mentioned it! It would really be too hard to resist then...but then again I always need a bottle opener! :)

It is Alloy 360 half hard tempered brass.

My brass whistle arrived today and it is very nice. I think it is my favorite of all the whistles. Very nice feel and look to it. :D

Hi Peter, as I anxiously await the arrival of my brass whistle, I was wondering if any tools were coming anytime soon?

I'm working on the Poltergeists to get them to heat treat. I have Lock Nut Monsters that I am assembling right now as well.

The Angry Hippie said...

The Poltergeist is a reworked Ghost, correct? I don't remember seeing a prototype. Did I miss it?

Thanks for the direct ship on the brass whistle, Peter. Now I just have to stop staring at my key ring. :)
