Wow!

Well that was amazing, 314 people signed up for this one! Thanks everyone for participating, I really appreciate the interest.

OK, so the five winners chosen at random are, in the order they came up:

#1 204 Tune Ninja chose Jungle
#2 310 boots
#3 28 gte

I'll send emails to the winners in order and the first guy gets first pick, then down the line. Thanks very much folks and I'll have a bunch more of these lotteries for different knives and tools coming up regulary over the next several weeks.

How long do the auctions run for now? The first ones were 24 hours so I had a good chance of catching them, but I missed the last two by a hair each time.

I've started most of them at noon and they have run for 8-9 hours. Not sure how long the first one was but I don't believe it was any longer than that. I'll think about maybe running one longer and see how it goes.

Im loving this DLC pieces more and more. Yes, I think extending the auction time a bit more would not hurt, maybe 12 hours??

No please do not run it longer. It's tough enough waiting 9 hours.
Don't you think 9 hours is enough time for someone to enter an Atwood Lotto. Most people get about 10 minutes if there lucky when you actually post a piece for sale "Non Lotto style"

I could be wrong also but seems like to me the first one(s) were 24 hours long too. I can live with any time limit as it is better for all (in my opinion) to obtain one. Except, of course, for those who pop in and buy one off the bat in the older system. As I re-read this it's a bit confusing but you get my idea--I hope. Oh well, it's better (the lottery) for me anyway. Although I've not won anything yet--but I haven't entered either. Can't win if you don't enter. The foregoing is one of the reasons for the word "babble" being coined.

C'mon use english. I have a hard enough time with it. I always say, "whatever will be, will be" anyway.

We should hold the Atwood Lottery for 40 day and 40 nights that should give everyone enough time to enter??

Peter after reading through some of the comments, it pretty much seems like your damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Enjoy the weekend, these G3s were the tits...

All kidding aside. This is Peter Atwood's site and what he says goes. And that is fine with me. You don't go to Wal Mart and try and dictate (suggest) the way they do business. If it's a lottery, fine. If not, fine. If a lottery is open one hour, 8 hours, or 24, that is fine with me and I'm sure most of you. And however it is set up, he will sell out. No--he can't please everybody. And he shouldn't try.
