Plain Titanium G5 Prybabies

Hi Folks,

Well, it would seem that the holiday season is upon us once again. I thought it was just here about 5 minutes ago but the time sure is flying. It doesn't quite feel like December here either because we still don't have any snow but that's fine by me. It will be here soon enough...

Things are cooking along at a reasonable pace despite a few recent setbacks. I'm grinding some new Mystery steel tools this week and hope to get them further along over the weekend. If all goes well those tools will be going to heat treat early next week so should be back the week before Christmas. A second new tool design, which does NOT require heat treat, is being cut today and Monday and those will be coming perhaps as early as next weekend. So there is lots of cool new stuff on the way shortly!

Today I have more titanium Prybabies done. I decided to leave these with a plain stonewashed finish and so none are anodized. No stamps or grind variations either, just plain Janes because there's a lot of people who like vanilla. I should know, I'm one of them! :D There will be stamped Prybabies, more anodized Prybabies and probably eventually even some patterned ones coming but it won't be until next year.

For the newbies just a reminder, the ti G5 Prybabies feature a pry tip/wire stripper notch, bottle opener that doubles as a 5/16" wrench and a set of SAE wrenches ranging from 1/4-9/16", all in a compact package that is just over 3 inches long and is 5/32 (.160") thick.

The plain ti G5 Prybabies run $65 each plus shipping and I'll make this sale a limit of two per customer please. International customers: You have a choice on this sale, one item can be shipped via either Priority International for $17 or Express mail for $34. If you order two then they will automatically ship via Express Mail.

Thanks for stopping in folks, always appreciated!

These are all gone for now, thanks everyone and have a great weekend!

9 mins, Peter you need to do a signup sale for new offerings, I have text alerts set to monitor your blog and still can't get here in time.

What the heck, I had one in the cart. About to pay. The screen blinks. Then sold out?

makes it more exciting (and equitable/fair) for everyone, not just those who have automated alerts &/or instant access to the blog

anycase, love your work Peter, keep it coming!

I too would adore more sign-up sales, but with such an enthusiastic clientele, I am thankful you haven't switched to selling by auction.

I agree with KeenBeam and others. The only posts I get state that there is a sale and further down in the SAME post that they are all gone. I NEVER get anything in time to try to purchase!

Yeah, checked in 12mins after the post, and all are sold out.

A sign up sale would be greatly appreciated.

Peter,
here are my observations as a newbie regarding access to your beautiful creations.
I have participated in one of your sign-ups, and just this morning could have picked up on the prybaby, but this is not a tool I need.
>> Sign-ups are cool, but then we have to deal with the random-number selection process.
>> On line sales notices are cool too; you just have to be there in time, but this is far less random that sign-ups where you have not control at all.
>> So it seems to me that you are already doing the equitable approach; some sign-ups, some sales.
luck to us all.
Cheers....

I have been waiting to try and make a purchase too. In fact I don't even understand how to do it because everything is sold out. Is there a link that pops up under the post that let's me proceed or do I need to sign up somehow ahead of time. I can't find any way to sign up.
Rrrr frustration is setting in.

It items are still available for sale there is a link to a purchase page in place of the sold out notice.

Given how quickly things sell out, perhaps it is time to only allow one item per purchase.

Been trying to get a tool forever! Makes me sick to see sellers on eBay selling many Atwood items for double plus. I wonder if they just sit and refresh all day as their job. Maybe I'll get lucky somehow but I do not work at a computer. I work outside all day and check on my phone during my lunch break. All I want for Christmas is a prybaby...

I feel like you could make more tools...you are starting to turn off a lot of customers with your lack of production. We get it you are the Sh*& when it comes to this stuff, but come on man! More tools equals more money for you and more happy customers.

peter, how fortunate you are to have all your appreciative customers telling you how to run your business.

My suggestion is selling the products on ebay auction.

Peter has his way of doing things not because of whim or caprice, but because he has been in this business probably way longer than you have known about his tools, and he has settled into a method that works best in juggling the demand, the difficulty of creation, managing the sales, being equitable, maintaining the quality and innovation...all while being a one-man shop.

How anyone else has any kind of coercive power to tell him what or how to do when and in what manner, I am pretty confused...

Peter, keep on keepin' on with your great tools!

People are making suggestions not demands. I agree with both sides. Yeah Peter is the one in control of his business, but it doesn't hurt to listen to the opinions of his fans who are the ones who ultimately support him.

I'm loving the texture on these, Peter. Keep up the good work.

I am going to get one eventually!

Some folks may not know but if you are in the hunt for a tool you can try posting WTB posts in forums such as edcforums or even the facebook page. There are many good people out there trading and selling these tools and it makes it more fun too.
