Black LongSlides

Hi Folks,

I'm recovering today from a ton of family oriented events and visits from the past few days. It's always good to see everyone and it was a little early this year which is fine by me. It will make for a relaxing Christmas.

I will have more Flat G5 Prybabies coming up but I need to figure out what finishes I want to do on them so it won't be for another day or two. In the meantime I do have these lovely aluminum Longslides available. These are anodized with type III black Hardcoat and they are tied on gorgeous leopard pattern cord from Supply Captain. They are $25 each plus shipping. Thanks for stopping by!

All gone, thank you again!

Thank you! Yes, there is another batch getting turned this week and will be getting the black. I think I might also do some olive drab ones but probably none of these will be ready until after the New Year.

How about more flatbabies?

Love these in black, nice work, Peter. Glass half empty, I missed this sale. Glass half full, like the extra knot in the lanslide, I hadn't thought of doing that, it looks really cool on the knife - also new cool cord color at Supply Captain, might have to get me some of that.

Olive drab or natural hardcoat would look killer on these

Shoot I missed these. Peter, how does the coating on these compare to the DLC coating you were using a few years back?

It's standard type III hardcoat just like you would find on a Surefire, Fenix or any of dozens of other good quality lights. I tried to sand some off of one that had a flat spot on the rib and it's interesting to see how hard it is. Really seems to penetrate into the metal.

No no, it's a Benchmade Bone Collector with D2 blade. Nice knife. I gave my dad one for Christmas too and he loves it.

What kind of knot is used at the end?
