Mail to Canada

My post office put up a sign yesterday saying that they will no longer accept any mail to Canada because of the postal strike. Up until recently my understanding was that the mail was still going through but that it was being delivered on a rotation schedule but now I'm not sure what is happening. I'm afraid maybe a lot of mail is being held at the border. So until further notice I'm not going to be able to take any orders from Canada and I just hope they get the situation resolved soon.

They were on a rotating strike, but they have since been locked out. The government may be introducing back-to-work legislation some time soon.

So Peter let's have a sale to entice them back to work!

Peter, Legislation was tabled yesterday in Parliament that sets out wage increases less than the Post Office offered in their last offer so I wouldn't be surprised if a settlement is reached before the legislation is passed. This should be over by the weekend.

Peter, If you have a sale before this is resolved, if us Canucks have a friend in the US to ship to would that be ok?

Sure, I'll ship to a friend in the states.

Or possibly hold on to the item until shipping is open again?

I really don't like to hold packages because it creates confusion here...who has paid for what etc. I honestly have my hands full as it is without laying on more stuff to keep sorted and remembered.

Couriers will still deliver. I wouldn't mind paying the extra cost.

Canada Post will start delivering mail again June 28th so I expect the USPS will begin accepting mail for Canada shortly.

I assume that since the strike is now over you are back to shipping to Canada?

Yes, no problem.
