Plain Perfies

Alrighty then. I have some plain unanodized titanium Perforated Prybabies available today. These have a stonewashed finish. They are $90 plus shipping.

I still have more pieces to process from the batch so there will be more waves beyond this one. I'll probably do some green ones next.

Thanks for stopping by folks, much appreciated!

These are gone for now but there are more on the way, thanks!

Got my rainbow perfbaby, so I'll leave these for others. They won't be there long!

Nice plain!!!

I'm sure you've thought of it already, but a Ti chigger with the extra grinds would be pretty cool.... green with chain link/snake skin anodizing even better.

Fun. Means, motive, and opportunity lined up for me.

Peter,
Any lefties? Are the holes countersunk on both sides?

Wow, I'm here and can get one. But I think I'll let someone else snag it. I'd prefer a green one, or at least a chance at one.

Thanks folks! :)

Yes, the holes are countersunk on both sides. There were thousands and thousands and thousands of the darned things... :p

I think I saw these as they went up. By my count they lasted just about 15 minutes! Snagged a rainbow one last week so I'm letting these slide. They look great though Peter!

Peter, what camera and lens are you using for the macro shots? I'm thinking about upgrading my digital camera and your photos look fantastic!

Thanks, I try. ;) Canon 5Dmkii with the new 100mm f2.8L IS Macro lens. That background is a piece of local slate with a 200 million year old worm trail along the bottom.

Missed it again! I need one of these. I think this is the nicest tool you've ever made, Peter. That's saying a lot. Great photos too.

There are no lefties, no patterns and no extra grind variation of these coming.

Will power! I had to hold out, although I did have to opportunity to purchase one. Beautiful piece, Peter. I do feel that this is a collectors piece and I tend to use my Atwood tools hard! Enjoy those who scored!
Peter, I knew you got into a new camera a few months ago (450D??) but did you then move to the full frame 5d2 since then? Just curious.
I just got the Canon 7D and it is the bomb! Freakin' gorgeous images!!

wow home all day and still missed it. Got distracted by buying a train pass and hotel reservation for Japan. oh well... look great congrads on those who got one.

I bought the T1i/500D and was happy with it for a little while. But then I got very curious about FF so I went ahead and made the plunge. MUCH happier with the professional camera over the Rebel. Truthfully, if I had just gotten a 50D cropper to begin with I probably would have been content to stay with it but whe I first made the purchase I thought the prosumer bodies were too big for me. Now the T1i feels like a toy, although it is a very very nice camera neverthless.

If I decide to try out more wildlife and sports type stuff I might pick up the 7D. Looks like a wonderful machine.

Peter, When I get back to the office I will shoot you an image using the 7D. Aps sensor or not, the images are stellar!
I like the 5D2 very much and have created some beautiful images with it. My cousin graduated in June from Hallmark Institute (TF) and he is now roaming NYC, 5D2 in hand!
Is the 100mm Macro the new one Canon just released? I am looking forward to my next piece of glass!

Keep on Truckin' on..

Scratch that, you said New 100mm L IS...effing sweet!

Did you up grade the wrist watch at the same time you ordered the new camera? Lol! ;P

Really great pictures! Those things are definitely thick. I'm glad you went with the some plain ones. :D

Peter Atwood said...

Hehe, no actually I got RID of some wrist watches so I could afford the camera and some nice L glass. :D

Has anyone gone through airport security with one of these kinds of tools on their keyring? I'm curious if TSA will hassle me if I'm ever fast and lucky enough to purchase one of Mr. Atwood's lovely tools. Thanks!

Same here, I traded some Leicas for the 7D. No worries, many more Leica M in my collection..
70-200 L IS in the future and hopefully I can hit a GREEN Ti Perfie..shit, this is insane...

I like these even better than the rainbow ones--less to distract from all those holes.

Would you be willing to disclose ETA of Wingnuts, Peter?

Which colors (besides green one) we can expect? UV, blue, gold...? All of them?

Peter Atwood said...

I don't know what colors yet because I may run out before I get to very many of them. I have enough to do some green ones and maybe one more color beyond that.

WingNuts are next up on my bench to finish the grinds. So it will be a little while more on those, 3 weeks at least, maybe more.

Score!

From recent comments, realized I had to hit the purchase link rather than ponder the photos. Post-purchase, though, I would have to say these are some real beauts! Was slow on the uptake with the rainbow version, but have to say, I really like the sans color look.

Thank you, Peter!

Guess my comment got lost so here I am again. Love the bare Perfies can't wait to hold mine!! Great job on these Peter!!! Thanks again!!:<) Gary

Anodizing titanium is a simple process where the piece is dipped into an electrified bath and a layer of oxide is deposited on the surface of the metal. Pieces may be reanodized again and again at a later date unlike aluminum which requires a totally different process. To clean titanium, use a little glass cleaner and it will brighten the colors if they have dulled due to finger oils.

Got it today, looks and feels great! It went on my keychain immediately and I'll put it to work tonight by cracking some homebrews! Thanks Peter!
