Clarification

Just wanted to make it clear, I'm still going to be making oodles of one-offs and unique pieces. What I want to stop doing is finishing pieces per customer requests. In other words I will still be offering all kinds of different stuff. I just don't want to have to do as much of putting a particular color of cord and a certain pattern on a piece for Joe. I would rather put out 10-20 pieces with several different cords and patterns and let Joe pick one. See what I mean? It's the endlessly varying special requests that are confusing the hell out of me and slowing me way down. Even with spreadsheets and such it is just darned difficult to keep everyone's special requests straight.

So let me make what I want in larger batches, fiddle around with some, leave some plain, finish them up as I see fit and offer them up to you. I think we all can be pretty happy with such an arrangement don't you? :)

Ditto ^_^.

I was considering asking about that, but didn't want to seem like a pest trying to get any special favors. Looks like we gotta load up the Phlaunt page more often now ^_^.

Sounds great Peter! I love seeing what you come up with next. I bet you'll end up getting a bunch of requests like...

..."please let me know if/when you have a toxic green wrapped tiger striped sumo and matching 3 inch wedgie in stock, I'd love to buy them. Can I get first dibs on them when you do have them?"

Be careful out there Peter. It's a slippery slope for a nice guy to start putting other folks wants before his own needs.I'm rootin' for ya. When you're making what you want to make, everyone's happy.

Peter,
Keep up the great work, and do what it takes to keep sane. You seem to have such a loyal following, that to step away from customs and towards the unique offerings from your brain and hands is quite reasonable.
As a designer at a made to order manufaturing facility, I can commiserate.
Patiently Yours,
Todd

It's a little unfortunate. I understand why, it's just unfortunate. I wanted to order a couple things when they were all in stock, and I kept waiting for things to come into stock, but didn't realize they won't be in stock, or not right now.

So I guess I'll be placing a few small orders as items are created. ;)

Smaller orders are where it's at! I am one man and not a factory, that is the what is truly the unfortunate part from my perspective. When they perfect human cloning Atwood fans will be all set I promise. :D
