Emails Sent!

Another remarkable turnout, thank you so much everyone. It's a shame I don't have enough to send everyone an email but I did just send them to the lucky 8. (5:15 EST cut off time) Please check your emails, and your spam filters...thank you once again for your interest and for your patience. Eventually I will get a big batch of stuff together and get some regular general release sales going again but for now it's just these little ones for the odds and ends.

Thanks again and have a great day!

All are spoken for, thanks again!

You ought to sell at least some of the small batches via general release so that some of the rest of us have a chance at them.

Oh right, turn on the sale for 20 seconds, turn it off and then refund 67 people when I only have 5 items. Yeah, that will work out just great. I'm done arguing with you on this.

Rats, missed the cut again.

Lol nice Peter!!

Thanks for the opportunity cant wait for the next chance

If you had an actual, modern cart/inventory system, you wouldn't have that problem, but whatever...

Even though I haven't gotten picked in a while, I do enjoy the thrill of the flash sign up sale! Thanks, Peter!

Missed again, maybe next time, thanks Peter.

How would "the rest of us" have a better chance for 1 out of 8 in a regular sale without illegal software? Please think before you post!

Peter, thanks for the chance!

WOW, Mr TROUBLE still has some serious butt hurt for the new SUS. He should probably look at SUS from maybe last year... 12 pieces = SUS, so whats so different now?

oldskoolboarder said...

Yikes. Relax, it's just stuff albeit cool stuff. I probably haven't won in over a year but I am still happy to participate. Heck, I pulled the car over when I saw the sale was posted.

Amazing how naked self-interest (or entitlement, or whatever) can blind someone to logic or reason.

OK, somebody figured out how to game the general sale system, by whatever means (automated alerts, software robots, etc. - oh sorry I meant having the free time to spend hours upon hours hitting F5). No problem, good for them, kudos.

But then to whine about it when their advantage is equalized out?

Even when that equalization also makes life tremendously easier for the front-end vendor?

Not only that, but to be so mistaken or irrational as to claim that "the rest of us" would have a better chance than what the flash sales give the general marketplace?!?

Like I said, amazing...

not a mathematician, but if we each put in one entry, then no one gets a better chance and we all get an equal chance- can someone check my math?

HighSpeedTROUBLE said...

Yeah, well I could say exactly the same thing about you all. I've never won a single SUS. Some of you all have "won" multiple SUS.

Now who's "gaming the system"?

Hi Peter,

On behalf of many of the readers of PPT....can we suggest that you simply delete the comments of HighSpeedTROUBLE going forward? Perhaps even just leave him out of the drawings altogether, if it will stop the incessant complaining.

This is supposed to be fun.

Thanks for considering.

I got my first Atwood in 2009 and I have not been selected for one since. I don't see the point of complaining or calling Peter's character into question over it.

I also don't go to a store and harass them because I have not won the lottery after years of buying tickets.

You win you lose that is how it works and believe me there is much more losing in life then there is winning. Well unless you are Charlie Sheen.

I like and appreciate the flash sale. Thanks Peter!

If people don't like the sale system then they should just buy the items new off of fleabay. It is obvious that programmers are automating the purchase process and marking up their wins 100%. Good for them.

+1 for never winning a SUS- ill be ok...

LynchMOB said...

Well thats the problem Mr TROUBLE has... the new sale system has cut in to his flipping profits.

I have only ever scored a single Atwood and that was from a regular sale. Am I complaining? No, as a private seller Peter can do this anyway he wants and those that don't like it should just go away. Life is tough, get over it.

According to HighSpeed, "You ought to sell at least some of the small batches via general release so that some of the rest of us have a chance at them." Who are "the rest of us"? Must be those running software so that they catch the sales the minute they start...

Please keep running the Flash Sales - they provide the best opportunity for us "normal" folks to get one of these great tools!

Peter's flash sales are the only way many of us will get a fair chance to own a Atwood. It's fun to image for a couple of hours, this might be my luck day!

HighSpeedTROUBLE said...

It's cute how you all like to accuse me and anyone else that is able to buy an item on a regular sale of "running software" to do so. I guess that's just your bitterness showing...

Also, I didn't say to get rid of them completely...just that it would be nice if at least some of them were to be offered via regular sale. Apparently, Peter is incapable of doing that because he lacks an actual inventory / shopping cart system. You would think after this long, that would have been addressed.

I've also found that he appears to lack the courage to post ALL my comments as he has willfully omitted at least a couple of them.

Anyway, carry on your trash-talking about people that happen to catch a regular sale every once in a while.

The reason I haven't been posting all your comments is that I'm sick to death of them. Why keep raining on the parade here? What is the point of continuing to grouse? It's really annoying and I have received many emails complaining about it. It's a waste of everyone's time, mine included. I have been respectful up till now but my patience has worn quite thin.

As far as my cart goes, it is not perfect but in order to preserve domestic harmony I have not asked my wife to sit down and devote days of her time to fixing the software. And that wouldn't sove the problem anyway, so stop trying to run my business for me.

SteK said...

Amen to that, Peter.
It's your business and most of us will be content with whatever you choose to do.

Clearly, some prefer one system and some the other but the choice is obviously up to you. Let's face, it's a seller's market.

The beauty of a moderated blog is that you don't have to publish any overly argumentative comments if you don't want to.

Personally, I quite like the general sales, but that is just my preference.

I'm sure most of us are right behind you whatever you decide, even if we are not as frequently vocal as some.

Amen Peter! Now let's have a flash sale to celebrate lol ;)

I have been eyeing your pry tools for quite some time and always arrive to late.. rats! I just wish that some of the people that purchase these would not try to gouge an eye on ebay and sell these tools for double triple or quadruple the price not cool. Let other ppl who wan the tools for themselves purchase them!

Hello. On this kind of page, i am supposed to see the link where i can buy from ?

SteK said...

@ a.cravan

The link so that you can buy disappears when the stock is gone. That's usually in about five minutes because there are lots of us and only one Peter. Have a look at his "How my sales work" page. There is a link to it on the front page of the blog.
