G3 Steel Prybabies

Happy Friday Folks!

I finally have the first bunch of steel G3 Prybabies ready to go. These have the buttery smooth Stone Aged™ finish on them. I ended up cutting these with seven SAE wrench sizes instead of the previous version which had six sizes: 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 and 5/8". The insert cards state just six sizes ending with 9/16" but I didn't want to throw them away and make new ones. So for all the sticklers and nitpickers out there I'm sending out the old cards with the G3s. :p :D

The steel G3s are $60 plus shipping. Will be more than one wave of them.

Sold out for now, thank you!

I have been getting a lot of emails asking two questions:

1. The titanium G3 Prybabies are still two weeks away at least, possibly longer. I have not finished the grinding and clean up on them yet and they still need to get tumbled. So it's going to be a little while yet. Lots of projects happening all at once as usual!

2. Also, there will be no G3 Prybaby XLs at all in either metal due to difficulty in processing. When heated and bent they are prone to a small surface stress crack near the thumb grooves. The crack is minor and although it is fixable it's a total pain in the butt so I'm not going to be making any. There will be something else with an XL bend later this summer however so sit tight. ;)

One other thing, I will NOT be making these in metric. I have other metric tools in the planning stages though so stay tuned for releases later this summer or early fall for metric sized stuff.

Thanks everyone! Hope your summer is going well. :)

These look great.
Any idea what the price point will be for the TI version?

Woo-woo! My first Atwood tool is on the way! And once the titamium version is released, my wife and I will both be proud owners. Thanks, Peter, and keep up the great work. Feel free to go faster :)

I am in on my first Prybaby of any sort. Whew, it was brutal for me to hold out on the Big Shots, Tipplers and WingNuts. I had a choice to make and the G3 was it.

...now back to my Scarlet Begonias>Fire on the Mountain...

Dig it.

I am lucky enough to already have one. But it is great to see so many other people getting their firs tool of yours. I warn you though it is like a junkie getting their first fix. At least that is how it was for me.

Curses -- foiled again!

Any timeline on the next round, Peter?

Thanks Peter!

Wow ... my 3rd attempt at getting an Atwood and I failed by minutes. I wish there was a way to get notified of these wonderful things the second they get posted. Demoralizing ... :-(

I woke up a bit early today (Alaska) and got in on my first Atwood Tool!

Looking forward to carrying it with me always, thanks Peter!

Time difference sucks. No luck from Honolulu! Next time.

Susie Lin brings up a fair point - perhaps you could post ~ 1PM eastern time in the future - giving us west-coasters a chance to wake up (e.g., Arizona is three hours earlier than eastern daylight time)

Looking forward to next time!

I'm glad to get in on this :^D

I'm really happy to hear it has an extra wrench size... talk about bang for the buck!

Now at the risk of sounding greedy, I can't wait for the Ti versions. hehehe

AND a tool w/ the XL bend later this summer?! Wow.

thanks Peter!

@ Blackeneth - Peter has posted about the time issue in previous threads. He cannot adjust to everybody. I am clear in Japan and there are people in many other parts of the world. You just have to be on the ball. Such is the price you have to pay to get one of his fine tools. And this in my opinion is not a high price to pay either especially if it is something that you want. Those who really wants them, do something about it and find a way to get notified and get them. My suggestion would be to sign up for one of those ping sites that notifies you when a post is made on this site.

Remember, folks... Peter is only one man and he is doing the best that he can. And a damn fine job he is doing at that too!! Thanks for everything Peter!!!

Ok, I'll bite -- XL Atwrench? Or are you bringing back the old school prybaby XL?

Peter,

Thanks again for everything you do...I think a lot of the magic you work goes un-noticed and un-appreciated....

On another note, I'm not buying the "poor West Coasters" sob story...sorry, not trying to be an arse, but I scored one...and I'm on the west coast....

Peter did mention 3 or 4 days in advance that he'd be posting a batch for sale on Friday (today) so if you really want one, do like the rest of us do and stay tuned...or don't whine about it if you can't or won't!
