Bead Blasted WingNuts

Hi Folks,

I have a few of the WingNuts with a bead blasted finish available. These are the same exact specs as the previous batch except for the finish. This is a small release but I will have another good sized run of them in about two-three weeks or so. Thanks!

Sold Out!

What a tease! They look great. I hope the metric version will be offered with a bead blasted finish.

I checked four times this afternoon during work. Went out to dinner and come home to see this?! Aaargh. Please do a lottery with at least a day's chance to get on a list. You've got to be fast to get something!

The bead blast is a great touch for these. :)

I concur: I lost out despite being only an hour late for the last posting. Very frustrating.

Received my WingNut today. I really like the stone age finish, but I'll have to admit that I miss the bead blasted pieces. From the "olden" days. ;)

Btw, what a neat tool! Feels great in the hand. I think this is going to make for a fun tool to use and have around.

G3s are still not back from heat treat. I would expect them this week coming probably. The ti G3s are almost ready to be sent out for tumbling, just have some clean up to do on them so about a day's work left to prep them.

woohoo. . . G3 goodness!! :D

What colors can we expect on those ti G3s?

Scott, I don't know yet. Probably several colors. I have to see how they come out after they are completely finished.

Been using my "WingNut" all over the house for a week now. It works amazingly well! A friend thought it look to simple to work but quickly changed his tune after a few tries. Am hopeful for a G3.

Maybe some patriotic ones in red, white, and blue? Green is my personal favorite, but that is just my 2 cents.

Titanium has a very limited color palette. White and red are not possible and blue shades are limited as well.

Any chance for orange (to match my orange ti bike?) ;-D

That's pretty much the choices in the order in which they appear on the metal as you increase the voltage. The last three are different obviously. Rainbow is done by dipping in the tank and slowly removing as you simultaneously "turn up the volume".

Wow . . . what does UV look like?

Unknown said...

LOL salmon, that's awesome.

I was wondering how the open and boxed end on the WingNut are cut? Is it done with something like a broach? Is it different for titanium? I don't know much about machining and am just curious?

hey peter, maybe you can do like a "color election" and have people vote for their favorite color, sounds dorky but fun.

Rose Gold sounds fun... a combo antique look in rose gold would look awesome.

Prob not possible though, and Id miss the post for it anyhow! lol
