Hi Folks,
Sorry for the long spell of inactivity but there's more going on than you may think.... We've been hammered here in the Northeast by several large snowstorms in the past week (as has much of the country) but it seems like we've been hit particularly hard lately. This relentless winter is now shaping up to be the worst in terms of snowfall in many many years. Indeed, it's starting to become a challenge just finding places to put it all.
Anyway, things have been progressing rather slowly these past couple of weeks but I am making good headway at last. G5 Prybabies are at heat treat right now and should be back in about a week or so. The new CrocoNut wrench tool is also at heat treat and those should be back in about two weeks. The olive G10 Lanslides are close to done and I'll be tying lanyards for those and the white teflon ones as well this weekend probably. Additional projects that are underway include a new Lanslide design which will be incoporated into a brand new concept- the LifeLine Gear Leash. Also underway are more Poltergeists, a new Prytool design called E115 and also some Mini Poltergeists. There are several other things under development too which will make for some interesting times ahead this winter and into the Spring. No news on the Dace right now but I'll be moving forward on those pretty soon and also finishing up the last couple dozen of the Snakebites. It's going to get busier and busier this month.
Today I have some titanium Mini Brewdrivers done. These are anodized blue but I also have some plain ones available and I'll do another sale with those if I still have some left after today's sale:
The Mini Brewdriver is a simple keyfob tool, turned from solid 1/2" bars of titanium and they measure 2 inches long. They feature a bottle opener and screwdriver/prytip on a diamond knurled shaft with a flat for my name stamp. The bottle opener is a two pry popper meaning it takes two shots to get the cap off but it does work fine. The screwdriver tip is the standard 1/4 wide size. A large lug style end with 1/4" hole makes getting the tool on and off the keys a very simple proposition. These run $65 plus shipping and the purchase link is below:
Blue ones are all gone, thank you!

Must you always taunt us with names and no pictures?
Just giving you a hard time. Thanks Peter
Ha! Well I'm still working out the LifeLine prototype and should have something in a week or so. The Croc wrenches are all at heat treat so I can't show that one. The G5 Prybabies I will show as soon as I get a chance to snap a pic of the one I have here.
Peter,
You have got to be the fastest shipper in online purchasing history! I can't believe how quickly my tracking number arrived.
Cheers,
Murray
I like knowing G5 Prybabies are at heat treat! Any stats on the CrocoNut wrench would be great. Is it large like the WingNut and DoublerHeader? (both in heavy use these days..) E115? Please do tell!
The Larva is my current favorite.
Too much, man!
....what a long strange trip...
Peter when do you have time to do anything but shovel snow? Thank you for the update, boy there are so much stuff coming up! Am looking forward to pic of these! And of course The Dace as I have said before! Stay safe and don't overdo! Gary :>)
Off-topic: Have you guys seen the Boker Plus Vox Access Tool? Total Atwood knock-off! Peter did they hire you to design this? ;-)
CrocoNut is about 4.5 inches long and has the same jaw as the LNMonster but the handle is four progressively larger hex wrenches 1/4 through 1/2 and the butt end is a simple round shape. Small, compact and won't poke you in the leg when it's in your pocket. ;)
Have not seen it. I try to not pay too much attention to other designs nowadays because I don't want people saying I ripped them off.
Sweetness. Hope to see this in
done up using 3V Steel.
Peter, I'm just curious from a design standpoint why you didn't design the Mini Brewdrivers so that one could pop the top in one take instead of two. Are you trying to keep the length to 2"
Good luck with all of that snow. I can imagine that you are tired of seeing white everywhere and feeling pinned-in.
Thanks,
Brett
Finally took the plunge and ordered an Atwood original. Been watching your blog and sales for over a year now. Keep up the amazing work.
I was limited with this design because of the diameter of the stock. I would have had to go to 3/4" to make the opening larger in order to get them to pop in one try.
Bob, they are S35v.
Hey Peter! I'll gladly shovel snow in exchange for tools. ;-D Lifeline proto sounds cool as does the E115. Any thoughts on another run of Wedgies? I still regret not being into pocket tools back when those were around. My heart cries out for a small minimalist yet strong pry bar. lol
I am digging it either way!
There's something about a grown man begging me to give him a Wedgie that just cracks me up every time! :D :P
Peter, what's worse is that I'll even pay you for it!! haha
The Boker VAT is design by Jesper with Vox knives. It is another pocket tool design, but I wouldn't consider it an Atwood knock off. Jesper is a very respectable creative knife maker.
A lot of good news Peter. Sounds like some exciting designs of tools coming up.
Man Peter, with all these great designs coming up, it sounds like I need to prepare some funds!
Stay warm and safe up there!
My first Atwood purchase! How did i get sucked into this world of pocket tool goodness??? :) Keep up the good work!!
wow so much cool stuff coming, and that not a hope for you to get more snow, I think you have enough already!
OK no more stuff this weekend, I will be gone for 4 days with NO internet access and I know I am going to miss something sweet!
:)
Thanks again for working so hard for us Peter!
Wow, I am a few states south of you and we have been getting hit pretty hard too, though I am sure you have it worse. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing some of the new tools, and certainly can't wait to get my hands on either a Snakebite or Dace. But I also want a Prybaby and CrocoNut. I don't even know what the LifeLine or E115 will look like but I want them too.
Peter what have you gotten me into!
(Thanks!)
