Bead Blasted Chigger

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a great week.

I have less than two dozen bead blasted basic Chiggers available. They are $45 each plus the shipping and because of the small quantity it's one per person.

Thanks for stopping by, it's much appreciated!

Sold out, thanks.

  1. Hate to have to pass on this one, the affordable Atwood's are really the best, aren't they? Still recharging my PPT fund. :(
Chigger's a beauty though to be sure! Keep 'em coming Peter!

  2. I'm glad you did another round of Chiggers! I missed the first batch.

  3. Yay! I have my first Atwood!

  4. You have the speed of sound, the speed of light, and the soon to be added speed of Atwood

  5. What is the purpose of the main "ring" on the Chigger? What a cool tool, just not sure if the ring has any significance.

Sorry if this was explained prior to the first batch....I missed it.

  6. Scored one! I've been on an Atwood hot streak. Let's hope the wife doesn't find out about this one...

  7. The large ring is a 3/4" wrench. Sure it is not particularly effective as a wrench but it reduces weight, aids in grip, easy to clip on your keys and it is a design element.

  8. Argh...missed by 15 minutes. Oh well. Congrats to the lucky 24.

  9. I was wondering about the 3/4" wrench hole being considered, by an over zealous police officer, as some sort of "brass" knuckle punching weapon....

On the other hand if a cop is looking at your keys that hard, your probably done for anyway!

  10. Must have missed this one by seconds; I've been mashing F5 all day! Would have loved one of these.

  11. Holy smoke! Missed it by that much. I was looking forward to this one too. Next time, you elusive Atwood tool, next time!!

  12. It is a cool tool to say the least!
I got lucky with the first round of stonewashed ones. Those who scored, you are gonna love it!

  13. Got one! Can anyone that already owns a Chigger tell me of any tips / tricks with it? I only own Prybabies at this point. The obvious use as a screwdriver is there and perhaps a bit of love as a bottle opener, but what else can I do that's not obvious?

  14. Is there any way to get a hold of any of these items without having to constantly refresh the blog hoping to see something that's just posted? I've subscribed to the RSS feed for the blog and visit manually when I get a chance but I still can't seem to catch it quick enough.

I know this isn't really a problem for Peter. It's actually a good thing to sell out of what you're making as quickly as you can make it available, and congrats to you Peter on your success. I'm just curious if there's anything I'm missing.

  15. Any limited edition lotteries coming our way?

  16. Twenty minutes late, dang! I'll get a Chigger if it kills me!

  17. Congrats to those who got in -- looks like a fun gadget.

Peter, any chance of Big Shots coming back up again sometime? I vaguely remember you suggesting they might, but I don't remember the projected timeline.

  18. Also, I second the idea that a Chigger with a 15mm wrench would make a great bicycle tool, along the lines of the Surly Jethro Tule or the Paragon Machine Works bottle opener wrench.

  19. Bah! I have a better idea...how about a metric Atwrench with the largest size at 15mm? ;)

  20. Yes, another smallish batch of BigShots are planned. I'm thinking of having them turned in time for Christmas. I will have a couple dozen more Tipplers coming up too.

  21. Christmas BigShots should have little Santas engraved into them.... :-P

  22. Peter,
Are you planing to make any whistles? They are so expensive on secondary market. So it would be great Christmas present for all of us:) Thanks a lot.

  23. Bah! I have a better idea...how about a metric Atwrench with the largest size at 15mm? ;)

    DO IT-DO IT-DO IT!!!

'Cmon, Peter...spill the beans, post a picture of what is to come- even if it is just a raw piece of steel!!

    Keep the fire burnin' man...

  24. Glad to hear about the Big Shots -- sounds good.

I'd been unsure about how I would use one, then (too late) realized that it could be the world's best pre-chilled martini glass.

  25. "Bah! I have a better idea...how about a metric Atwrench with the largest size at 15mm? ;)"

Too bad you don't know anyone who might have plans to make such a thing....

    ;- )

  26. Any chance you would consider offering some of your batches via lottery instead of strict first-come-first-serve? Obviously, some of us would find that fairer... In any case, keep up the good work!

  27. AtWrench AtWrench, all I want for my birthday (Oct 15) is an AtWrench!

    Please?!

  28. hi peter,

in the description of the sale you say "...bead blasted basic Chiggers...". If this is a "basic" chigger, does that mean there is a different "non-basic" chigger in the works? :)

  29. I'm w/ Indy Fan. 15mm!!!! Help the fixies/ss'ers!!!

  30. I really like the matte blasted finish and I'm glad you are giving it as an option (not that I have been able to snag one yet). :D

    ReplyDelete
  31. Basic chigger... What's next in the chigger lineup? A chigger with a blade perhaps? Please!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Metric Atwrench? Peter, you're killing me. :P

  33. keep missing the chiggers. more to come i hope
Im going through cancer treatment and have to take a lot of meds. I use the tippler as a pill shot glass, It makes what is normally a drag a little more bearable lifting that big chunk of metal.
    Keep it up Peter

  35. I love the 3/4" hole. I have mine on my keychain, but the hole is still big enough for me to put a finger through if I'm just playing with my keys, or more importantly you can put a finger through to use leverage to pop the top of a cold beverage.

Love the Chigger. It actually bumped my G4 Prybaby off my keychain.

  37. Please please please, make more Chiggers. There's one on a popular auction site that's already up to a hundred bucks.

  38. I'm up for a metric Atwrench as well. Perfect to throw in my pack for a long mountain ride.

  39. Joe,

No surprise there are chiggers, ring tools and minis out there right now. Ebay scalpers suck.
