I'll have to recoop some money from my previous "Atwood itch" purchase. Peter, have you ever done a prybaby type thing with a blade thats hidden enough that it wouldn't need a sheath in your pocket? I'm kinda thinkin maybe a blade at the back of the bottle opener area, could be used to cut open packages, paracord, or anything.

The closest adaptation I can think of is putting a bit of an edge on the pry notch on a prybaby. It's essentially already a chisel grind -- probably wouldn't be too hard to get it a bit sharper.
@Smiert The way I see it is if you put an edge on the inside of the bottle opener (which I don't think would be very easy) you would no longer be able to use it as a bottle opener and same with an edge on the inside of the pry notch. You have an atwrench for pry tasks etc and a knife for cutting. (Obviously the fixer being the exception but what is there like 40 of those in circulation)
I love the new smaller stamp on these recent smaller pieces. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteDang, those went fast!

ReplyDeleteYay! I got my first Atwood pocket tool. Can't wait 'till it arrives.
ReplyDeleteToo bad I missed this. I really like the opaque bead blast finish. Stonewash is nice too, but the bead blast has a really nice feel and look
ReplyDeleteDang, missed it again!
ReplyDeleteHow many of these are in a production run???
Some batches are larger than others, and there is never a set number on releases.
