Special Atwrenches™
Of course I could not resist monkeying around with a couple dozen of these...:) They are drying now. The next batch will probably all have the edge grinds as I think it makes the tools look a bit more dramatic:
WOW this is getting ridiculous to get one of your tools I just saw a bike tool, ringleader and triangle in a package deal on FeeBay for a Buy it Now of $700 WTF?????? are these people from another dimension?????????????
Too funky for description. May need a thesaurus to continue trying to describe mt reaction to your tools. Running out of words. Doesn't matter - will keep going to work so as to earn funds with which to buy AtThings. Thanks for keeping us tooled up and amused.
weird. i'm always missing out on the goods and i 'd totally miscalculated when the atwrenches were coming (i thought it was next week) but by sheer luck i clicked on the 'available tools' yesterday and managed to purchase a nibble - first time i've ever been at the right place at the right time. so, i guess i can't complain!
Peter, noticed the appearance of a TM on the Special Atwrenches...good move! I hope you've copywritten your logo as well! Those steps will keep most (but not all) of the undesirables at bay, and at least it gives you some ammunition when flagrent copies appear. I can't wait for the nibbles to arrive, (one of my favorites) and one is slated for the O.R.! ;) Provided I don't botch it, I'll send you a picture. My Dremel, drill press and files are just itchin' for some S30V!
I have to say, nifty as these Specials are, I also like the original design of the Atwrench. It harkens back to that old favorite, the Proto screwdriver.
I got my Atwrench yesterday. Gotta say I love the simple lines on the side. Already unstuck a window, tightened some bolts, and "fixed" a few bottle caps. As a first time owner, gotta say great job, Peter!
I have to agree with Bolster, as cool as the tiki Atwrench is, there is something elegantly simple about the original Atwrench. Just a good solid tool... I hope there will be a few more...
Peter, Atwrenches arrived today...thank you! This tool has EDC written all over it. It is the perfect size and potential utility is infinite. My son will graduate from high school nextweek and receive his first Atwood...the Atwrench!
I really like the way your tools evolve and it got me thinking about the next evolution. Topeak's Ratchet Rocket has a ratcheting 1/4" bit holder on one end. Could that ratchet be fitted to one of your tools?
(It is basically like a tiny version of a GearWrench.)
I agree with Bolster and Jeff. While the Tiki has a badass look to it with the grinds and glow dot, the standard Atwrench's lines are a perfect tribute to the Snap-On wrench and Proto Key. I love them both! Simple, elegant, and very versatile for a single tool. New classics :).
Not to take anything away from your other designs, but I think the Atwrench design has the most mass market appeal for an EDC keychain/pocket tool of anything to date.
Peter thanks for the Atwrench! I was able to do some real world work with her last night, the sister in law rode her new bike over and her derailer needed to be adjusted and it handled the job with no problems!! nice work!! and this stonewash finish holds up so damn well, I even dropped it while taking a test ride and not a single mark on her!

Don't worry, there will be more coming when I do the next batch. Probably be 2-3 weeks before I can get through them all.

Looks like a small batch of tiki s came and went... I await the Constellation Atwrench with Tiki grinds !!! I know some guys are never satisfied, j/k

I bought one of each. The Tiki grind is going on my keyring and the other is a gift for my son-in-law.
Any word on the next batch of Atwrenches? I'm getting impatient for my first Peter Atwood tool!
