Howdy folks, I'm finishing another batch of Crawdaddies and I made a few very minor changes as I mentioned in earlier posts. For these I adopted the slightly wider body of the SharkTooth and RingLeader tools to provide for an improved grip. In addition, this gives me the ability to put on a thicker and stronger O-ring. Otherwise the tool is just about the same as the first series.
I have a few dozen of these to offer today and when my bruised and battered fingers recover (LOL, these thick O-rings are HARD on the fingers!) I'll be finishing the rest of the batch. :)

Say Peter, do these new Crawdaddies have the stonewashed or bead blasted finish? Just curious since it seems your latest batches of tools seem to be sporting the nicer stonewash.
Jamie, these are all stonewashed. All my tools from now on will have this finish for the most part.
Man, are you sold out already?
Wow, I owe you all a big Thank You folks!! :)
Bill, I have a lot more but I want to finish them off before I put more up. I'll get these orders packed up and then work on the rest of the batch this afternoon.
Sweet, this makes up for the fact I missed the RingLeader this weekend! Can't wait till it gets here.
I really like the stonewashed finish.
thanks peter,i think this tool well get the most use, very happy i scored it. the crawdaddy reminds me of one of my other favorite tools, champions splinkler multi tool. i do alot of splinkler repair. p.s. really want to buy one of your shirts but dont own a son of pry thing, i dont want to be a poser, hint hint..
It's...the FAT DADDY!
Peter, my (first generation) crawdaddy fits excellently across my palm, thong looped over my index finger, the tips just barely protruding past the bottom of my fist.
Held in this manner, it's an incredibly effective (and practically invisible) kuboton -- those little prongs dig in with the _slightest_ pressure.
My question is, HOW much thicker is the new design? Will it fit as comfortably in the palm when closed as a fist?
Btw, I love this thing: even when not being used as self-defense toy, it's already saved my EDC knives from being used as screwdrivers and/or prybars, and I've even had opportunity to use it as a wrench a few times. Excellent design beautifully executed. Huzzahs.
Thanks.
It's about 1/8" longer than the first ones and maybe 1/16" wider so really about the same size.
Here is someone that bought two Nibbles so he could jack up the price to resell one:

Just sayin'...maybe this jerk ought to be cut off with the others.
You know, what can you do? I cannot control what people do with this stuff after I sell it. As long as people are willing to pay inflated prices for stuff on the aftermarket it's going to continue. It's very hard to prove that someone just bought something in order to turn it around.
Stop letting people buy multiples. Period.
At least that would stop all the lies about, "Oh, hey...look what I got...I just HAPPEN to have an "extra" (whatever)..."
I really hate people's greed...
Yeah right. How about all the folks who want one for their buddy? They really have a dad or a brother or a buddy or they want two for their own collection. I can't limit it to one unless the batch is really small, say a couple of dozen total. It just isn't realistic otherwise, it really isn't. Out of hundreds of customers I have a dozen who are scalping. In the grand scheme of things it's a small thing and I just have to let it go unless it's chronic.
If you have been paying attention, the secondary sales of Atwood items have been on the decline. I have seen a number of items on various sites that have went up for sale and have not sold right away like they would few months ago, some have lasted for days. Sleezebay prices have also seem to come down. Even some items on Peters site have lasted there all day. Maybe there has finally been a saturation and the re-sell market will deline.
@Anonymous - I almost bought two Crawdaddys to have one to give as a gift, but didn't this time--though I might next time. It would stink not to have that option in the future. Peter has asked that people not buy them explicitly to resell. That seems strident enough on the issue, IMO.
@Peter, as you've probably heard a million times, as a newbie to your work, it has been a bit exasperating for me to see everything sold out, then to sit on F5 for a few days until "Buy" shows up somewhere. :-) Not asking for you to do anything different, just amazed at the demand and excited for my Crawdaddy to show up!
KOOL Peter I got one and it's my first. Hope it's not my last.
thanks man
Hey mister anon, number one mind your own buisness, and before you call someone a jerk and ask that they be cut off, have your facts straight!!!i guess you didnt see the 100 dollar atwood knife i paid 375.00 for on ebay did you? If you must know my buisness i had 4 nibbles in total,2 of which were sold at cost to two friends, the other was traded. i was going to edc this one but it just dont suit me...so i paid 72 dollars and you think me asking 85 is too much??? do you want me to fly to the post office???gas was over 3.50 per gallon last time i looked, plus the shipping cost, so you do the math bright guy, how much will i make on this tool??? what a moron... yeah its me ejmp, so have some balls and give your name if you have such a problem with me and what i do with my money or my atwoods for that matter... iddiot
Yup, this is the kind of stuff that almost makes me want to say to hell with it all. I tried to warn you guys not to take it negative and keep the name calling out and now look what it's gotten to. Let's keep it civil guys and remember you just don't know what folks are going through and where they are at. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to both sides and I think a little of that always is a good idea.
I will not post any more replies to this thread so don't even bother adding to it.
Well, I was lucky enough to get a Crawdaddy 2. My old one is up for sale (at what I paid for it). I even had two offers, but directed the guys here when I noticed they were up again this morning. My karma has been good why not pay it forward?
