Hi Folks,
I'm making good progress on current projects even though everything seems frustratingly slow. As viewers of the Atwood Toolbook section on Facebook already know, I am working on a brand new run of whistles, first release will be in titanium and then in a few weeks the later releases will be in stainless steel. There will not be any in damascus and due to the busy design there will not be any fancy patterns either. Hoping to have the first wave completed next week.
Also in progress is a new variation of the Ghost tool which will be called the Poltergeist. I have an updated G3 Prybaby about to be cut next week, called the G5 Prybaby. At heat treat right now and due back anytime is a good sized batch of Lock Nut Monster wrenches. I'm still waiting on sheaths for the Snakebite knives from my sheathmaker friend up in Canada...Dace knives have been ground and are just waiting for the last cleanup operation before heading to heat treat. Larva tools are awaiting milling. And I have one more tool in the Creature series that's about to be cut next week as well, the NutCrocker.
So, as you can see, there is just a ton of stuff happening but nothing is popping just yet. Should be a different picture by the end of next week. So in the meantime, hope everyone has a terrific long weekend and some well deserved rest! :)
Nifty new whistle design, Larva tool and G5 Prybaby:
a whistle! Wow. Thought those were completely off the radar. All these prospective tools and gadgets are so exicting. Thank you so much for the update!
ReplyDeleteSWEET! Looks like I better start building up my paypal account ;-)

Should be the "G5 PryBuddy" cuz it looks like a friend putting his arm around your shoulder. :D
ReplyDeleteI'll take a Dace, Snakebite and a Whistle... :)
ReplyDeleteNice! How long is the new Prybaby?
ReplyDeleteNice new design on the G5 Peter. Man that raw bar version looks Bad Ass! I hope we will see a run like that ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend everyone.
at last I might get a whistle
ReplyDeleteI am still saving for a Dace now I have to add a Whistle to the list
I dunno, Peter. I think the grooves of that whistle cutting into different layers of Damascus would be a pretty cool effect. I'm not sure you would need a fancy patterned Damascus either.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should try doing just one Damascus whistle to check it out. -- and then sell it to me ... Hehe...
Thanks for the update and sneak peeks!! Have a nice holiday!! Gary :)
ReplyDeleteMetric or standard sizing on the g5 prybaby?
ReplyDeleteRegular SAE on the G5 Prybaby.
ReplyDeleteIm gonna need one of those G5 prybabies!!
ReplyDeleteThe Whistles are looking good, as is the Larva. I also can't wait to see the Poltergeist and NutCrocker. I love these names you're using Peter. :) Just as interesting as the designs. Can't wait to hear, see, and most importantly, hold, more of them!
