Mini Plus XL

Hi Everyone,

OK, I have a portion of the Mini Plus XL batch completed. Exact same specs as the Mini Plus but they have a small bend for extra leverage. The bend does not significantly change the length of 2.5".

These will be $55 plus shipping. Link is here:

Sold out for now, thank you!

    thanks.

  20. Okay, everyone needs to quit telling their friends about Mr. Atwood's tools. It's becoming near impossible to get one and we don't want to kill off Peter! ;)

  24. Probably Friday. It's going to take some time to get through all these orders from today. Then I need to finish up more of the XLs and a bunch of them will be bead blasted so it's going to take another day.

  25. and on the 7th day he rested . . .

Peter, I hope you take the weekend off. your customer service is wonderful, but don't want any long term problems for you (i.e. your carpel tunnel) by trying to make everyone happy.

I've missed the most recent sales, but have scored the fixer, the prybaby, the wingnut and the various shot iterations . . . so I don't mind seating on the sideline and admiring the photos of your workl.

  26. Another cool tool....Thanks Peter,You are THAT GUY :)

  27. OK, I know I'll feel more stupid after someone answers this but--"lefty". I'm right handed and I don't see the lefty thing. Can't the tool just be flipped over and used that way? What am I missing? Thx, wk.

  28. Wow, found your site a couple weeks ago and was hoping to get one of your beautiful tools. Going to have to be faster next time, these went super quick!

  29. @waykno: Yeah, they both work in either hand. If you hold a lefty in your left hand when, for example, cracking open a beer, the stamped side of tool will face you -- same deal with a righty/right hand. Also, when using a prybaby as a pry tool, its more ergonomic when used in the correct hand because the bottle opener is not digging into your hand.

Essentially the grinds are on the other side of the tool.

  30. Peter, you are the best!

  31. Can we get an idea of when the lefties will be up for sale?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Peter, I remember hearing that the older XLs were hard to make. Have you come up with a new solution? Or are these equally as hard to make?

    ReplyDelete
  33. They won't be going up as a regular sale. I only made a handful and they are for my left handed customers only. I have a couple remaining and if someone wants one they need to email me. A number of my lefty fans have already done so.

If there is a sufficient demand I will make a separate batch of lefthanded tools and will create a sign up thread so that I am sure I make enough. But I honestly did not think there would be that much demand so I didn't make a whole lot this time.

  34. Thanks for the quick reply, Peter! Email sent!

  35. Ohhh, these are really nice!
I've been holding off on buying Atwoods lately, so I wasn't checking the site as often as I should. I really hope I can score one in the next batch, a XL has been on my want list since before I got my first Atwood.

  39. Got my XL yesterday - super fast shipping, thanks! It's wonderful, great feel. I'm looking forward to finding lots of uses for it, it will go on my work key chain.

Does anyone know if this is allowed as a carry on item by the TSA (and also in Europe)?

  40. Absolutely safe for air travel anywhere. Courthouses might be different though as the guards are sometimes over the top.
