I have a few of the CPM 3V MicroSpuds done. These nifty 5 inch mini tools are loosely based on the gigantic old fashioned irons worker's tools. The MicroSpuds feature a bottle opener and 7/16 wrench opening, pry tip with V notch, 1/4 hex opening and tapered tail end used for aligning objects before bolting them together. They are not sharp enough to act as a marlin spike...these have a bright stonewashed finish. They are running $70 each plus the shipping. Link to purchase is here:

now these were what i was waiting for, peter how long is the spike? im hoping this well be handy when i build my fences, lining up my bolt holes and holding my work in place while other holes get drilled, oh and of course open my beers while i work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter... as a user (mostly), I like the size and design of the Spud. I'm looking forward to finding uses for a pocket-size alignment tool, and I really appreciate the step aside from wrenches.

Thanks Peter... my Spud arrived in today’s mail – fast delivery, as usual. Your wrenches, blades and prytool combinations deserve the high marks awarded by users and collectors, but this 5" marvel gets my vote for most innovative – and likely most useful – step into a new class of one-piece pocket tools. Now to find a simple & elegant lanyard for this critter…
