Stormy Weather!

Man oh man, we've been getting pounded the past few days. I planned to put stuff on the site but every time I get ready to do so the power goes out or a big storm comes up and I have to shut down my computer for fear of power surges. Yesterday we got hammered with thunder, lightening, hail and about 3.5 inches of rain. We've had something like 8-10 inches of rain so far this month. It's been the stormiest darned summer I can remember...anyway, all this should be clearing to some extent over the weekend so if I don't get a sale up today then certainly tomorrow or Saturday we should be seeing some action.

Also, I received word that my big load of G3 Prybabies is supposedly nearly done at the heat treaters and should be shipping today. So I'm hoping to see them early next week.

Thanks for your patience folks!

  1. Sweet. Any advanced insight into what you plan on putting up on the website for sale as soon as the weather starts behaving??

  5. Yeah....crazy New England weather. Last midnight was horrible. The constant lightning made me feel like someone was playing with a LED flashlight outside my window.

  6. It hasn't rained much here in Utah, but we had some flooding by my office last week and mud slides in some of the canyons yesterday. Crazy!

Can't wait to hold a G3 in my hand! Hopefully Mother Nature will let it happen!

  8. Peter,

I assume you have a UPS for your computer setup, et al., that has a good battery life on it should such things happen so you don't generally have to shutdown as much?
That said, looking forward to the G3 PryBabies.

  11. G3 "Shorty". What is that all about? :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Shorty? Because this fall I'll be doing a longer version with screwdriver tip. The metric one will be the long version and I'm doing a long American at the same time. :) Personally I like this size the best but the drawings do look pretty good for the longer 3.5" one so we'll see how they come out.

  13. Okay, cool! I misread the text on the G3. I thought there was going to be a "shorty" version with the screw driver tip in place of the wrench.

    Thanks!

  17. Peter, I just have to ask. Is the background of your G3 prybaby picture a bug chunk of tree burl? Looks really cool.

  18. Yes, it is a big manzanita burl that I got at the reptile store years ago. Kept meaning to cut it up for knife handles but then I moved in a different direction. I have a lot of exotic wood though so maybe someday...

  19. I love exotic woods. When I was very into guitars, I got fascinated by those beautiful exotic/figured tonewoods. OK, here's one more item on my dream list: Atwood knife/tool with exotic wood scales.

  20. No rain in Western NC, and we need it. We are 8in behind for the year, so send rain our way. Also, a G3 Prybaby would help!!!

  23. Peter,

It sounds like you have done a lot of variations of the new Prybaby. Out of curiosity, have you done any with a plain tip without a v-notch?

  25. Got my G3 in the mail, 'tis most excellent! Only problem is, in an embarrassment of riches, I can't decide whether to have the G3 or the Sharktooth be my EDC ;-)

and just cuz the title of your post got the tune running through my head incessantly...

    "It is tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime,
    It is tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime,
    Whoa-oh..."

  26. Hi peter , I got my G3 ,LOVE IT !
Instead of the wrench sizes have you considered adding the philLlps head bit and "O" ring set up in the newer style G3 along with 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" wrench sizes.
P.s. love all the pry baby series tools ,keep up the great work

  27. Peter,
I received my G3 Prybaby yesterday and love it. I agree with TRUCKLVR2003 about the potential enhancements would also be nice.

Thanks from a Canuck for great service and a great tool.
