Hi Folks,
Well, finally I have something in stock again...today I have the first wave of 303 stainless steel Tipplers ready to go. These are finely made and built to last at least 10 lifetimes. They are truly beautiful objects IMO. They have been passivated (acid washed) to remove surface iron and sulfur and that leaves them fairly neutral smelling and tasting as well as giving them a bright finish. Each Tippler holds one generous sized shot of liquid refreshment, 35ml which is 6 ml more than a standard 1 fluid oz shot.
The cost of material and labor has gone up since I made these last and so they are slightly more than the first batch that I made two years ago, $60 each plus shipping. International orders for one Tippler will ship via Priority Mail and for more than one will ship via Express Mail. As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
First Wave is Sold Out, thank you!
Beautiful Peter....just beautiful. I am so happy I was able to finally get one of these.
ReplyDeleteI grabbed two of these babies. Glad that you came out with these again, was looking forward to them for awhile.
ReplyDeletethanks!
Nice to see these again! If you don't have one you'd better jump on it!!! Gary :>)
ReplyDeleteThank you Peter. I was very excited when you posted that you were making these available again. I was even more excited to be able to score one.
ReplyDeleteSweet!! Been wanting one of these for a year now and I finally got my hands on one!! Thanks Peter!!
ReplyDeleteA friend (indeed!) tipped me off, bought a set of 4. Poker will never be the same. We'll toss back our shots like kings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mikey, Thanks Peter! W00t! My first, first hand Atwood. Sweet..
Well, i said i would let these go by, but... nope, i'm going to wait. though they ARE different then the earlier ones, hummmmm.
ReplyDeleteVery nice work Peter, and i will hold off, and let someone else get a "shot" at them. I keep mine in the freezer, and they cool a generous sized shot down quickly, and keep it sippin' cool until i'm done ;)
Be careful with the freezer! You could have the famous lip or tongue sticking problem...:D
ReplyDeletehas yet to be a problem! and no dilution of the "product" as no ice is ever used.... the pleasure is worth the risk.
ReplyDeletecheers!
Looking forwards to these :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter!
Peter, any tips or concerns with engraving these as a gift?
ReplyDeleteAny place that does engraving should have no trouble with this. 303 stainless is a good machineable material though obviously harder than brass or aluminum.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Peter! i can't wait to see what comes up next, but I'm glad I got to grab one of these!
ReplyDeletePeter, Can these be etched on the inside to show measures of precisely 1 oz, 1/2 oz etc? If not, they still look great. R-
ReplyDeleteThese are quite amazing. Glad i was able to get a couple. Thanks Peter.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a way to etch the marks inside. That's what they made your eye for though! :p :D
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome Peter. Excited for all the new stuff coming too. I love how you did the border on the Tippler pic as well. Very classy!
ReplyDeleteNow waiting on Bronze full size landslides............. Gary :>)
ReplyDeleteReally nice Peter congrats to those that scored one. Tip one back for me folks!
ReplyDeleteAlready have a set of large and small, so I'm happy to see some other folks lay hands on these!
ReplyDeleteHas it really been two years since the last run? Wow!
ReplyDeleteWell OK, year and a half. :)
ReplyDeleteI forgot how cool that photo is!
ReplyDeleteDig it!
Peter, they look greta. How do you make these? Are they turned from solid bar, spun, or made from a pipe with the bottom cap?
ReplyDeleteThey turned from a solid bar of 303 stainless steel on a Hardinge TT65 turning center.
ReplyDeleteThey look gorgeous Peter. I'm almost regretting passing on this one now to wait for the next thing up.
ReplyDeleteit looks like its going to be a beautiful weekend! Im still praying to snow in the Northeast!
ReplyDeleteSnow?
ReplyDeleteHaha, I assume you are hoping for bad weather in the northeast so Peter spends more time inside in his shop.
ReplyDeletegot mine today, it's awesome. I was going to give it as a gift but I might just have to keep it.
ReplyDeletePeter.. is it possible to get a lid for the tipplers.. I would like to use mine as a small pill container..
ReplyDeleteI have seen others with pressuse fit lids (using o rings to keep the lid on)..
something like this..

Wow, no idea. Might be something out there that fits it but it would be pure luck.
