Hi Folks,
First of all, my sympathies for our Japanese friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
Alright, I have some more LifeLine Gear Leashes ready to go. These have the non marring black Delrin keeper and slider beads and feature either blue, red or yellow reflective cord or orange/black camo cord. To keep life simple I'd like to say I'll send you whatever I send you as all the colors are really nice...but if you have strong feelings towards any colors you may indicate them in the comments field during checkout or drop me an email. I'll do my best to hook you up with the color you want but supplies are limited in any of these colors. If it gets too confusing I'll just stop the sale and try to catch up. Anyway, thanks as always for stopping by and hope everyone has a great weekend. :)
Sold out for now, but MANY more on the way over the next days and weeks. Thank you!
Nice implementation Peter. I ran into the same issue several years ago. My solution was to use 3 strand paracord and remove one strand to make it slightly thinner. I added a plastic cord tip and spring-loaded adjustment. The attachment end is just a loop in the cord. I wanted something that wouldn't mar my camera or other gadgets attached to it.

Could I get an orange or yellow? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSure, Bob S right?
ReplyDeletePeter,
ReplyDeletegreat work as usual. cant help but notice the watch. you wear a sinn?
I am on top of the world, I FINALLY got something!!! I was so excited when we discussed you doing items I could use with my camera a few months back on Lomography.com, and I have been waiting patiently. I missed the tan cords, but not this time! Thank you sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This is a U1000, great watch. I have a good sized collection with many brands but Sinn is terrific.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you so much! The Lifeline is just one item. I am also going to do a small run of titanium soft touch shutter release buttons in a month or two and am seriously looking into a 35mm-120mm roll adapter piece for those who want to shoot 35mm in their 120 cameras. ;)
ReplyDeletePeter, my first purchase! Of many, I expect. Really want a pribaby for my collection (hint hint). If possible could I get an orange or yellow lifeline? Anything but red is preferable, really. Keep up the great work! Randy C.
ReplyDeleteYep, Bob S. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteHi Peter,
ReplyDeleteManaged to get two...as far as colours go,I'll quote what Yogi Berra said when his wife asked him if he wanted to be buried in New York or New Jersey:
"Surprise me."
Your Trip 35 inspired me to buy one from a guy in the UK that specializes in selling them... http://www.tripman.co.uk/70132/info.php?p=3&pno=0
Cheers,
Murray
Thanks Murray! Oh yeah, that guy has great looking refurbs. I love the different leather choices. It's a nice little camera with a solid build, very simple zone focus. I have run two rolls through mine and the results were good. It's only a 2.8 lens so best for outdoor shooting in good light.
ReplyDeleteIf you really want a pocket sized treat, look up the Petri Color 35.
I think a snake knot or double wall knot would look nice on the end of the cords too. Snake knot takes more time to tie (I know that may not be desirable with the tendonitis you mentioned the other day) but is quite secure as an "end" knot with just 3 or 4 layers.
ReplyDeleteI hope to catch one of your next sales for the LifeLines, Peter.
ReplyDeleteDo you think you can make some that have an earthtone, woodland, or camouflage color theme?
Sure, just email me. I have some other cord colors and can do something up for you.
ReplyDeleteOlive Drab or Camo Patterns?
ReplyDeleteLove the LLLeash! Can you tell us the source of the Paracord so we can buy to make longer lanyards?
ReplyDeleteAnd finally - I found one of your Superbugs at a garage sale - how about making one (or something like it) with a corkscrew accessory instead of the Phillips?
Love the LLLeash!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us the source of the paracord so we can make longer ones?
I got a Super bug at a garage sale - how about something like it with a corkscrew?
Finally when are the Teflon Lanslides coming?
Thanks, supplycaptain.com for the best solid color and camo cord, ebay for the reflective paracord. No corkscrews I'm afraid...
ReplyDeletePeter,
ReplyDeleteThese work very smooth with these delrin beads.
Very useful for EDC...
Thank you!
John
Peter,
ReplyDeleteI just received my Lifelines and am wondering if you or anybody else can tell me what piece of hardware I need to be able to connect one to a Canon S90 digicam. All these little digital cameras use those small lanyard wrist straps to thread through the small attachment point flush on the side of the body. Is there a certain size of split ring or some kind of clip that works?
Other than not being able to connect to my little digicam, lots of utility to attach flashlights, multitools, etc to your wrist so you can let go of them and still have them accessible.
Cheers,
Murray
This is a good question Murray. I have not yet found a satisfactory way to make these work with electronic gadgets that are designed for the "dental floss" lanyards. I find the lack of proper attachment points to be very irritating.
ReplyDeleteI have the S90 btw. It's a perfect little pocket camera and I have used it for most of my product shots this past year. ;)
