Alright, I have some more LifeLine Gear Leashes ready to go. These have the non marring black Delrin keeper and slider beads and feature either blue, red or yellow reflective cord or orange/black camo cord. To keep life simple I'd like to say I'll send you whatever I send you as all the colors are really nice...but if you have strong feelings towards any colors you may indicate them in the comments field during checkout or drop me an email. I'll do my best to hook you up with the color you want but supplies are limited in any of these colors. If it gets too confusing I'll just stop the sale and try to catch up. Nice implementation Peter. I ran into the same issue several years ago. My solution was to use 3 strand paracord and remove one strand to make it slightly thinner. I added a plastic cord tip and spring-loaded adjustment. The attachment end is just a loop in the cord. I wanted something that wouldn't mar my camera or other gadgets attached to it.

ReplyDeleteWell thank you so much! The Lifeline is just one item. I am also going to do a small run of titanium soft touch shutter release buttons in a month or two and am seriously looking into a 35mm-120mm roll adapter piece for those who want to shoot 35mm in their 120 cameras. ;)

Thanks Murray! Oh yeah, that guy has great looking refurbs. I love the different leather choices. It's a nice little camera with a solid build, very simple zone focus. I have run two rolls through mine and the results were good. It's only a 2.8 lens so best for outdoor shooting in good light.
ReplyDeleteIf you really want a pocket sized treat, look up the Petri Color 35.
I think a snake knot or double wall knot would look nice on the end of the cords too. Snake knot takes more time to tie (I know that may not be desirable with the tendonitis you mentioned the other day) but is quite secure as an "end" knot with just 3 or 4 layers.

ReplyDeleteI just received my Lifelines and am wondering if you or anybody else can tell me what piece of hardware I need to be able to connect one to a Canon S90 digicam. All these little digital cameras use those small lanyard wrist straps to thread through the small attachment point flush on the side of the body. Is there a certain size of split ring or some kind of clip that works?
Other than not being able to connect to my little digicam, lots of utility to attach flashlights, multitools, etc to your wrist so you can let go of them and still have them accessible.

This is a good question Murray. I have not yet found a satisfactory way to make these work with electronic gadgets that are designed for the "dental floss" lanyards. I find the lack of proper attachment points to be very irritating.
