Just a Reminder about Paypal

Hey Folks,

Anyone who sends me funds via email arrangements needs to send the funds as a regular transaction for goods, NOT a personal transaction. I know you are trying to do me a favor and are just trying to save some fees but please don't do that. I have an agreement with Paypal as a merchant that I will not abuse my account and that means sidestepping fees for something that is a business transaction.

Believe it or not, I don't mind paying some fees as the service that Paypal provides me is far cheaper than it would be if I had to process my own credit cards. So, looking at it from a business point of view I'm quite happy to pay them their fees. And don't forget, as a merchant I am paying less per transaction than you would.

The other reason I ask please do NOT send funds via a personal transaction is that when you send funds via a personal transaction no address comes through because Paypal treats it as what you said it was, a personal transaction which means I don't need to mail anything right? So I have to dig through past transactions or ask for the address by email. And then either go through a bunch of extra steps to create a label or hand mail it at the PO window. So it makes more work for me...

Anyway, just trying to lay it out so folks understand it. ;)

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

  3. If people want to save money on fees in a legit way, there's an obscured option called 'eCheck' that doesn't take any percentage out, but takes 5 days.

I'm not sure if Peter is allowed to tell you that.

  5. Dace are coming along. I have them about ready to go to heat treat then they need sheaths. Hope to have them done before the end of the year. One guy can only do so much and there are a dozen projects on my plate. ;)
