Three Dot Lanslides
Howdy Folks,
Hope everyone is having a good week so far. It's starting to cool off here and we'll be lucky to see 60 degrees this week. I think I know what's coming next even though I've been doing my darnedest to deny it... :)
Today I finished up the last of the 3 Dot Titanium Lanslides. They are $15 each plus shipping and the link is here:
All gone, thank you!

Lock Nut Monsters
Happy Friday People! Hope you all are heading into a great weekend. I'm looking forward myself to getting out tomorrow with my photographer friends for a little photo field trip. Too bad the recent rain and wind knocked off a lot of the bright leaves but it should be fun anyway.
I have some Lock Nut Monsters done today. This is the second run of them and I have tweaked the jaws to make them a bit more aggressive in the grip. These have the same beautiful raw bar finish on them as the first batch. Features include six SAE wrench sizes, captive bit system with 1/4" phillips bit, bottle opener, screwdriver/pry end and lanyard opening which doubles as an O2 wrench. They are $70 each plus shipping. As always, I really appreciate everyone stopping by and keeping me going. Thank you! :)

Brass Whistles
Hi Everyone,
I have just two dozen of these today. I will have another big batch of them in about two weeks so no worries if you wanted one and miss out this time. They are $45 plus shipping, same as the stainless ones. I do have a few more stainless at this time too so if you want one of those please email me.
All gone, thank you very much!
I'll also be doing bronze whistles in two weeks so there will be yet another variation coming. I do not know yet about pricing on bronze as it is fairly expensive. It should be interesting material though and I've always wanted to check it out. I may do a few bronze Lanslides as well depending on time. They also said they would try a green G10 whistle but there is no guarantee at all that it will be possible. I still have a few dozen titanium whistles here btw, that are waiting to get cleaned up and put together and a bunch of stainless also. In addition to cleanup steps I'm also waiting on more inserts for them.
I'm almost done with putting together the Lock Nut Monsters! Poltergeists will head to heat treat this weekend. Dace knives went to heat treat already, will be lucky if they are done before the holidays however. SnakeBites will be coming towards the end of this month! Larva will be getting milled in about a week or two, hoping for an early November finish. G5 Prybabies are still sitting there waiting for me to start sanding and do the surface grinding, probably looking at late November or December for those. Hoping to do the last few dozen Mini Brewdrivers before the holidays as well.
That's the tentative schedule above...we'll see if I can crank all this out or not. It's a lot to juggle but I'm trying! :)

Jenny's New Book!
As many of you may or may not know, my wife Jenny is a writer. She has written many best selling business books over the years and also a terrific health book on diabetes. Well, after many years of writing novels for fun, she finally sold a three book series of historical romances to Avon a little over a year ago.
The first of those books, Lord Lightning, is now on bookstore shelves around the U.S.A. This is a big deal because the big publishing houses are not publishing very many new authors these days and this is something Jenny has always dreamed of doing. I'm so proud of her! :)
We're really curious about where Lord Lightning might be showing up, so I'm calling on all my web friends to help us out and let us know if Lord Lightning made it to the shelves in your town. To encourage you to participate Jenny has created a contest and will be offering prizes to randomly selected people who report their book spottings.
All you have to do to enter is snap a photo of Lord Lightning when you see it on a store shelf.
You'll find the web entry form where you can upload your spotting photo and a note about where you spotted Lord Lightning HERE
List of Spottings
You have your choice of prizes when you fill in the entry form. Choose an Advanced Reading Copy of Jenny's next novel or an Atwood Mini Rifle Knurl Lanslide.
We'll be drawing the winners on November 1, 2010.
The publisher tells us Lord Lightning was ordered by all the big chains and should be stocked in quite a few Walmarts, too. So that means Barnes and Noble, Borders and probably some other stores as well.
Don't let the lurid cover fool you. Though it is being marketed as a romance, with the traditional "clinch" cover, Lord Lightning is a well written, very well-researched, emotionally compelling story that people of both genders have found entertaining.
You can read an brief excerpt on Amazon HERE.

Just a Reminder about Paypal
Hey Folks,
Anyone who sends me funds via email arrangements needs to send the funds as a regular transaction for goods, NOT a personal transaction. I know you are trying to do me a favor and are just trying to save some fees but please don't do that. I have an agreement with Paypal as a merchant that I will not abuse my account and that means sidestepping fees for something that is a business transaction.
Believe it or not, I don't mind paying some fees as the service that Paypal provides me is far cheaper than it would be if I had to process my own credit cards. So, looking at it from a business point of view I'm quite happy to pay them their fees. And don't forget, as a merchant I am paying less per transaction than you would.
The other reason I ask please do NOT send funds via a personal transaction is that when you send funds via a personal transaction no address comes through because Paypal treats it as what you said it was, a personal transaction which means I don't need to mail anything right? So I have to dig through past transactions or ask for the address by email. And then either go through a bunch of extra steps to create a label or hand mail it at the PO window. So it makes more work for me...
Anyway, just trying to lay it out so folks understand it. ;)
Thanks, and have a great weekend!
