If I look like I've seen a ghost...

...it's probably because I have! :)

I have a limited number of these Raw Bar Ghosts available. It is not at all common but every once in a while I'm able to preserve some pieces with this outstanding textured finish on them. There aren't a whole lot of them so I need to keep it to one per customer. The price is $55 plus shipping.

Sold Out, thank you!

  16. If nothing else, these tools always show up fast! I ran home on my lunch break to pick up my GHOST! what a wonderful finish, rough yet satin! this tool has a slight asymmetry to the design which is fantastic! this will defiantly be worn around my neck!

  17. Peter,
My Ghost arrived today too, how do you achieve the raw bar finish? Very cool looking...

  18. I'm curious about the finish as well...we don't usually see them in Raw Bar, so I reckon it's not easy to do? Hoping to see more raw bar tools!

At any rate, this was my 10th Atwood and it's easy now for me to pick my favorite! The Raw Bar Ghost is a classic tool and you're right Peter- it's definitely got that "fiddle factor" which we all love. You hit a homerun with the Ghost!

  19. The Raw Bar finish is just that, the raw steel finish from the mill that comes on the sheet. Usually it's not that much of a texture or it's all scratched and gouged so I can't use it and it has to be surface ground off. Every once in a while a sheet comes through with heavy texture and it isn't all bashed up. This particular sheet was spectacularly clean and deeply textured.

  20. Nice! I was curious how that all worked and why there aren't that many tools with that finish- makes sense now...makes this little ghost even more special!

  21. Well, I like it!
Gettin' warm around here, I sense a SuperBug hatch soon...

  22. ...also, nice to know that when you get a sheet of steel like this you know what to do with it!
Tipping my hat and raising my glass to ya...
