Hi Folks,
I just got a batch of steel G3 Prybabies back from heat treat yesterday. These have the nice semi shiny Stone Aged™ finish on them for a cool instant antique look. The finish feels buttery smooth in the hand and resists scratching very well. Also, this batch is slightly thicker than the previous ones so the pieces are extra beefy. Improvements to this batch include larger teeth for better grip. Wrench sizes include 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 and 9/16. There are no lefties in this run, sorry.
Sold Out, thanks!
Just when you thought you had you were covered in the g3 department you had to go and make them thicker.
ReplyDeleteHah! This is the first time Ive actually been looking at your site and an announcement came up! Too bad I already have my G3 Prybaby on my keyring! Truth be known, I was fearing it would be something too cool to pass up since Ive surpassed my monthly Atwood allowance! Everyone else - Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDidn't get picked in yesterday's lottery, but I finally got my first Atwood tool, thanks Peter!
ReplyDeleteYeah, when he said thicker, I couldn't pass. I like beefy tools. I decided to get 2!
ReplyDeleteGot 2!
ReplyDeleteYeeeahhhh! Thanks Peter!
ReplyDeleteSame here, could not pass on a Thick G3.
ReplyDeletePeter,
The last run of G3's were REAL shiny. You say they are more mellow, How thick compared to last run? As thick as the S30v Funnybone?
That is the older pic, right?
-b
Maaaaaaaan! I'm tempted to get one cause they're thicker, but I'm happy with my G3 that has SEVEN wrench sizes!
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting to get one of these for a friend's birthday present. I'm sure he'll be very happy! Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is the older pic. These are average around .162 whereas the earlier versions were .150 or so. So these are a true 5/32 and yes, same as the last FunnyBones.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I always miss the boat.
ReplyDeleteLate for me too:-(
ReplyDeleteDo you ever make wrench tools in metric sizes? That will be much more useful for me at this side of the Atlantic...
Yes, in about 2-3 weeks I will have two products with metric wrench sizes. One is the Metric Atwrench or MetWrench for short. The other will be the ABC.... :D
ReplyDeleteI can't for the life of me figure out how to order. PLEASE HELP!
ReplyDeleteThanks
The link to order the G3 Prybabies was removed and the sale has been stopped for the day. I am processing orders from today and continuing to finish up pieces from the batch.
ReplyDeleteJust email me or wait until the next release, I will have a few more done by tomorrow or Monday.
Wow! My second Atwood successful purchase! Had to control myself to keep from getting a second one as a gift for someone.
ReplyDeleteThe ABC: an Already Been Chewed Atwood?
ReplyDeleteI must be getting tired...
Wow, raining Atwoods lately! G3 is a great design. Bring on the ABC! ;D
ReplyDeleteNice. Missed it but I'm looking forward to the metric offerings.
ReplyDeleteAlways Be Closing? Is it a folder? lol
ReplyDeletehmmm abc...

I like it though
Guys,
ReplyDeleteAtwood Business Card or ABC. Exactly the same size as a business card, made of 420 stainless (cannot get thin S30v), 21 wrench functions total, all the metric sizes from 5-16mm, 6 SAE sizes plus a few others and a bottle opener. Ruler across the top on both sides, American and metric. They are tumbling right now and I'm going to try to get them done in around 3 weeks or so.
That ABC sounds COOL.
ReplyDeleteAny chance we'll see a DLC version? Or DLC anything? =)
ReplyDeleteDoes the ABC have a cutting edge?
ReplyDeleteLurking for that second batch of G3's...
ReplyDeleteNo DLC ones and they do not have a cutting edge, they are simply tool cards. Thickness is .075 so they are thin enough for a comfortable fit in a wallet but still fairly substantial.
ReplyDeleteI told you I was lurking...Did i score or was that a hiccup? :-)
ReplyDeleteI will trade you one of my business cards for one of yours. :)
ReplyDeleteGood call on skipping the cutting edge on the ABC. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I think one of the best things about your tools is the lack of a cutting edge. I carry a knife everyday for that purpose, and I have my Atwoods for everything a knife cannot do. It makes the tool much safer to use (especially the wrenches) without an edge, and you can take it places that you cannot take a knife (airport). I would, however, still love to own one of your blades someday.
ReplyDeleteooooooohhhh I NEED an ABC!!! Looking forward to seeing them- Peter, anyway you can give us a hint on the sale time?
ReplyDeleteProbably 3 weeks at least. There are several steps invovlced to amke them and I;m nto sure yet..
ReplyDeleteYOU DA MAN! I know we're all chomping at the bit, but take your time! Maybe you could post some process pics to tide us over! Come on..you know you wanna!
ReplyDeletePeter, any hints on an approimate price on the ABC. It sounds really useful!!! :>) Gary
ReplyDeleteDid the second batch of G3 come out yet? I've been hovering here for the last few days and haven't seen the announcement.
ReplyDeleteYes they did. I have a few left if you want to email me though.
ReplyDeleteIs there some way to set email notifications? I keep missing the offerings and a G3 would have been perfect!
ReplyDeleteYea!! I've got my first Atwood tool! This G3 Prybaby is awesome. Now to figure out if I attach it my my Surefire E1L or Swiss Army Explorer :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW Using Yahoo to monitor the RSS feed and send email notifications of changes doesn't work. My notification arrived 3 days late. Fortunately, Peter still had one or two left when I posted my earlier comment.
Regards,
Ira
Great tool! Just wondering Peter, what knot did you tie the paracord on my pb before it shipped??
ReplyDeleteGo to my main website and look under the FAQ for full instructions on tying the Matthew Walker two strand knot.
ReplyDeleteGot my prybaby! Now there's not a loose screw in the house (except one). any chance of a run of crawdaddys or keytons in the future. I think the keyton would be a cool pendent! And I agree- that is a pretty unique knot!
ReplyDeleteThese G3's are so cool, I talked my dad into getting one!
ReplyDeleteTonight I found the para-cord that *used* to attached to my new G3 Prybaby in the laundry. Hmmm, what happened to the Prybaby I wondered. Fortunately, it was still in the trap in the HE washing machine... The tool and machine are undamaged :-)
