WingNuts!

The Atwood WingNut is the latest in my ever evolving line of pocket multi wrench style tools. The material for these is 5/32" thick CPM 154 steel hardened to 57-58 Rockwell. The overall length is a little longer than my past keychain tools at 4 inches and they weigh in at 1.6 ozs making it a substantial tool but one that is still easily carried in a pocket or bag. I have one on my keyring right now and it is quite manageable.

Features include both open and closed wrench sets in SAE sizes 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 and 9/16. In addition there is a 1/4" hex opening and a large screwdriver/pry tip plus two smaller pry tips on the front end that could double as screwdrivers in a pinch. The Stone Aged™ antique EDC finish feels smooth to the touch and makes the tool look like it spent the last fifty years riding comfortably in your grandfather's pocket. :D

This is the first wave with at least two more coming this summer, pieces already underway. I'm hoping to get the drawings done for the metric version in a week or two as well. WingNuts are $70 plus shipping.

    Most of the deals seem to have been coming around 7 to 9 am pacific time. I guess this one was even earlier, but they were still available earlier in that time-frame.

    I had the sale a little earlier than usual today because I knew we were in for severe weather this afternoon. I managed to get everything packed up and mailed out right before the storm hit though. :)

    As a mechanic, I can tell you this
    (Metric)sizes are used alot:
    8,10,12,13,15,17mm, and the 1/4 hex driver in center of tool..

    You can't believe how much I want a metric one lol.

    I got my ISP worked out today and I finally had a chance to look at a decent (large) pick of that finished WN. I noticed that you counter sunk the "eyes" and lanyard hole. You went all out with the finish on these. I can't wait for mine to arrive!

    OK, my wingnut will be held at the PO until I move in next week, but I'm curious. How does the Stone Age finish compare to the stonewash and bright stonewash that you were doing a few months ago?

    WingNut arrived, your tools are off-the-wall. I love the Stone Aged finish. Beautiful work. Stop making tools and make a knife, my wallet is getting thin. Thanks again for the great products, this habit is getting expensive. I'm glad your tools are my only vice.

    You know, it really sucks to miss these sales by 30 min to 2 hours... then see them up on ebay 2 days later for 30 to $40 more...

    Peter you should keep track of where you ship and match them to ebay sellers...

    Like the one in Palm Coast Florida that is up right now, what are the odds that you shipped this one last week?

    Got my Wingnut in the mail yesterday and have used it a couple of time already :) handy little thing and rides in the pocket nicely.

    I saw Avatar this past weekend and felt its message was better realized in other films . . . including Lord of the Rings . . . so here I have just loaded up disc 1 of 2 of the Extended Version and come to find it is a Wingnut production . . . hmmmm . . . two fine works of art.

    My brother-in-law was quite enthralled with his Xmas gift, btw.
