Rolling with the BigShots

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been a little while since I announced the BigShots and some people have had theirs for a month or two. I wanted to let you all know that I am still going down my list as I finish the cups. Today I reached the halfway point in my list so if you signed up for them and have not yet heard from me don't worry! It's a rather huge list and it is taking me some time to get through it all.

The really great news if that I have just finished my next installment of pieces and have resumed going through the list. I will be getting more done next week as well so it's looking like I may be able to just about get to the finish in two weeks or so.

I am still planning to do some general release sales when I have completed the list phase and I will make sure that the folks who wanted more than the two that I have allotted during this phase will have plenty of opportunity to pick more of these up if they wish.

I also wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who has purchased a BigShot so far and thanks you all so much for your kind words about them and your patience with this project! :)

  8. It is too late, I closed the list for now. However, no worries! I am going to finish out the list and then will make a ton more of them for general release. There will be lots lots more coming and I may also do a few variations.

  9. May be with diamond knurling?
    :))))

  10. Ya know, we did one with diamond knurl as the very first proto piece and it was kind of so-so. The rifle is so much nicer looking IMO.

  11. oooh. . . Did I hear someone say rifle :woohoo;

Thanks Peter for all that you do!!

  12. Stu, that's what is on the cups now, a rifle knurl. :)

  15. Don't know where I saw it but someone is using their Big Shot for a dice cup. How awesome is that! When I get a chance to order...they might become the worlds most awesome backgammon dice cups.

    Titanium doubling cubes Peter?

  16. I absolutely love my BigShot. Wonderful. It's become part of my daily routine to slowly sip juice out of it while working. Something about the weight is just calming and relaxing. Wonderful quality.
Haven't even had any hard stuff in it yet, maybe that will change tonight... Got some Wild Turkey calling my name!

  17. Hehe, I try to include a pair of teeny tiny dice in every cup. :)

  18. Quality drinking tool. I first used it to take care of some Makers Mark. It did a fine job. I'm about to work on some Daniel Nicholson 1843. This will be difficult, but I believe it can withstand it.
Wooohaa, The big shot took it well. I on the other hand, am not sure yet how I'm taking it.

  19. Got my package a couple days ago, after what I can only assume was my first experience with "mail hoarding". So much for having the package go to the "safe house." Thanks, Peter, these are great!

  20. I was not going to be the one who slipped out with the super cool bonus (Dice) with the "BIG SHOTS"
but that was really super cool, Thank you Peter

  24. Hello All,
I have been visiting this site for over a month, however this is my first post.
I am a shot glass collector and would love to get my hands on the BigShots. Fortunately I got my name on the list before it closed.
I also have a knife collection (very small) I am building. I recently bought a gerber artifact on Amazon, coincidentally a negative review of the gerber artifact talked about the great work Peter was doing here. So here I am, I love the pieces and am hoping to cherish them and make them part of my possessions.
    Thanks for reading.

    Thank you Peter!

  25. The Big Shots rock.

Everyone please be careful when you first get them, they may need to be cleaned or broken in. On mine in the knurling it felt a bit sharp and prickly, and in a lot of the knurling grooves there were very thin, sharp metal slivers that you should watch out for, and scrub off.

  26. Brandon, I didn't notice any slivers, sorry if you encountered a few. Most of them have very clean knurling but there are a few here and there that are a bit rougher. I'll try to screen them a little more closely.

  27. Peter, I was just curious if you have any news on the fixer?

    Thanks

  31. Peter how about a lottery to keep us all going, I am sure you have something in that Tool Shed of yours...

  32. I know it, I have to pull something together here soon.

I had to take a few days off this week and enjoy the weather. I went out to Cape Cod for a couple of days and hit the beach. It was 80 degrees yesterday and only about 7 people on the entire National Seashore. Just beautiful.

  33. Peter,

Glad to hear you took some time for yourself.

    Gotta love the great weather!

  36. I received my Bigshot a few days ago. Extremely cool item. I enjoyed a nice Sanbitter over ice. The cup is perfect for two little "shots" of this delicious soda.

  37. Just got my email link to the purchase page, so that list is *loooong*. (I signed up, I believe, a day or so after the initial window.)

To make up for it, I had to order 2, of course. (heheheh) Guess I'll have to have a pair of holsters made up for these, for convention use...

  38. Just placed my order for my first Atwood! I've been admiring your work for months and am excited about the BigShot. Thanks, Peter!

  41. Sitting in my chair waiting for me when I got home - microdice and all. (Ever thought of making a full set of steel polyhedrals for the gaming geeks?)

Big cool shiny heavy... I am gonna be *stylin'* at the Miscon parties Memorial Day weekend.

    They ring nicely, too.

  42. Received mine last night, they're WONDERFUL. Thanks. My first Atwood...

  43. Mine arrived yesterday, and it's both bigger and more finely crafted than I'd expected. And the dice were a nice lagniappe, too!

Very cool - now I have my Microspud and my Bigshot... Beautifully made and very satisfying in the hand.

    Thank you, Peter!

  44. Bigshots just arrived, Peter, and they look awesome. Everything I was hoping for. Thanks so much.

  45. Hello Peter,

I received the BigShots yesterday. I liked them! Thank you!

I liked the idea of the two little die in each BigShot. Nice touch.

Its my birthday today, so the coincidence is great. I will be pouring 3 oz's in each one this evening.

    Cheers!
    Sunil
